Is he just stupid or very smart?

My dog has chosen the street. I'm sure the neighbors like seeing that.

I got a li'l laugh at his expense the other day when he was slip-sliding on top of the frozen snow as he tried to do his business.

Now with a soft 16 inches (more in drifts) down I think he just wants more space for things to drop.
