Do you read subject lines on threads and have an almost irresistable urge to give a smart-alec response to it? Until now you've been good, and resisted because... well... it's bad, right? Well, here's your chance to be bad!

My favourite at the moment is the "Needing Directions" thread. And here's the response.

Oh, it's easy. You want to go to the north-eastern docks -- be sure you don't go to the northern docks, because then you'll get lost. Now take the second road on your left, and head that way. Eventually you'll reach a green pub on a corner with a dragon on the sign. When you reach that pub, well, you've gone too far (to be sure.) So you need to go back and take the second on the right from when you started...

smart alec answers (at least for me) are good sometimes. It kind of makes you think...especially if the comment was directly pertaining to something you posted. So i think that at times they can be helpful not bad.

That one brings to mind one I've always noticed in me. "If at first you don't succeed, read the instructions." I can usually make something work with out the instructions. I like the challenge of finding all of the parts and seeing what fits into what.

And, this kind of equates to what I like about me, women and sex. "I know what fits into there. With these things, you sometimes you have to force, but I know it should fit. I don't need those instructions!"

Did you explain on some thread? The guy in you AV, which I gather is from some classic source (headless horseman?), looks a little fungal.)

Crush a can's worth of artichoke hearts, mix with 1/3 cup mayonnaise, 1 cup parmesan cheese, and season to taste. Bake at 350 until bubbly. Serve with toasted bread and sticks of raw jicama or raw anal lust.

Speaking of music and smart-alecs, I always get the "Sweet Transvestite" tune from the Rocky Horror Picture Show jammed into my brain whenever I catch a glimpse of the "Transvestites" thread on GBLT. I just can't help it, and I've been avoiding posting on that thread afraid of making a corny retort that would hurt many persons on the forum. But it's a damn catchy song.
