Who on here are from small towns? Or, how big is the town you come from? My hometown has a population of 200 and I actually live 13 miles out.

Grew up in a town of 1250, now retired from the Army moved back to the area but 13 miles from home town and now a whopping 4,000

I grew up in a small farming community of less than 1,000. It had 4 churches, 5 taverns, 4 grocery stores and 3 farm implement dealers. Now it is close to 1,400, has 3 churches, 1 grocery store, no farm implement dealers and, Yep, 5 taverns.

It sounds pretty depressing. I don't know how some stand small towns. To
each their own I guess.

One of the advantages to living in a small town is that you and your girl are 5 minutes or less away from a safe, secluded place to go parking. That's tough to do in a big city.

But how bout the 45 minute drive to a drug store to get the condoms.....lmao

Wouldn't the choices be a bit limited?????:):)

hell they are here at 4,000 so ya I'm sure really limited, I traveled a lot so have been in large area's and even different countries and nothing is harder then a small town for fun. Unless,,,,,,no never mind lol. I have a town of 50,000 close though.

I grew up in the LA area and the SF Bay area. populations in the hundreds of thousands.

We moved to a "small town" to raise our kids. The official population is about 6000, however with the surrounding outlaying areas, there are probably 20,000 or so. I HATE going to the big city now (and by Big city, I mean Bakersfield...pop 400,000). Forget going to LA for any extended time! I am all country now!!!

We are so small town we don't even have a WalMart!!! We do have more churches than anything else. 2 grocery stores, a ton of bars and restaurants and it seems a gas station on every corner!

We have no close neighbors, we have wildlife everywhere, there is a 7+ mile hiking path into the wild across the street. The downside is that we do have to go to AV or Bakersfield for affordable groceries. With any luck, I will never have to live in the city again!

I can relate to a lot of the positives of the small town also, I mean I drive my golf cart to the golf course play then drive it home.

Grew up in a town of 15,000 to maybe 20,000...looking back I like it more now than I did at the time...had some very good times...and who doesn't love a Field party...:)

In a small town at least you don't have to worry about traffic unless you get stuck behind a tractor...:)
