.
Oh please... It was purely accidental... silly man!Hmmm, I am wondering if the positioning of this second comment is accidental.![]()
Well, I could start by setting down the time from 12 to 8 hours at a shot.
And I suppose I can give a helping hand here ... while Clémence Poésy is the French actress towards the upper right hand corner, and is only in a couple of movies outside the series with any of the Potter characters, I personally do not believe you can get through the list by linking her to Brendan Gleeson. I'd try another link ... one with someone who probably is more familiar to you.
Perhaps this is too much for such a small audience to the thread?
Should I replace it?
It is a big puzzle. You need to expect that it will take some time to work it out. Please don't replace it. I've spent a LOT of time and now I'm just working on tying my segments together.
Plus, I'm going to work on getting the other players more involved.![]()
I did expect it, but I figure I need to touch base with people's opinions as well. It's not just MY thread to do as I please with it. Nor is it my thread to KILL.![]()
At the time I posted this morning, Isaacs to Jones was the way I was planning to go. I just couldn't get that one to work.OK, this is my second and final tribute, I think, to a well known film series. You can NOT select any of the films from the series to respond with an answer.
Because there are 35 faces to identify and string together (all from this same series), I shall give these hints:
(1) The beginning and ending pictures are in the upper left hand corner; i.e., the actor portraying the title character and the man next to him. You can start with either.
(2) The way I would go about this would be to identify six figures, who I think would have the least amount of links to themselves outside of this series.
Those six would be the three youngest performers, and the ones portraying the squib, the sports referee, and the person who had a weird semi-out-of-control tongue/licking problem.
(They have fewer links because of their inexperience, or because most of their work is in television or theater.)
Taking those six and their surrounding people probably cuts the list in half, and then you could try to fill in the gaps after that.
That is just one approach.
(3) Clicking on the picture SHOULD bring you to a larger picture, in case you can't identify all of the faces, but inside my browser it doesn't get MUCH bigger.
However, if you copy the "larger" image into some utility like MS Paint, you can see faces somewhat better.
Finally, I hope at least one of you has had some reason to see some of these movies. If not, I am sure you could pay my daughter to watch them with you. She saw one in the movie theater 21 times.

No worries - we'll get there... just like the labyrinth in Goblet... some dead ends and twists but we'll reach the prize when we get thereSorry Likes. At the time I posted this morning, Isaacs to Jones was the way I was planning to go. I just couldn't get that one to work.

The good thing about this one is all of the available connections. This wasn't the first path I worked out, but after a little finagling, I can still make it work.
Daniel Radcliffe was in The Tailor of Panama with Brendan Gleeson
Brendan Gleeson was in Kingdom of Heaven with David Thewlis
David Thewlis was in DragonHeart with Jason Isaacs
Jason Isaacs was in The Tall Guy with Emma Thompson
Emma Thompson was in Sense & Sensibility with Imelda Staunton
Imelda Staunton was in Another Year with David Bradley
I think there are certain key links that can't be ... like to the Tri-Wizard Champion and Dr. Who, in my mind both links are set to them. But otherwise, you are right, there probably are several possibilities.
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you have a very happy, healthy, productive 2011 ... and hope this set gets done before 2012.
