I have to say, one of the people in this string has been mis-identified.

Maybe you should have started with Martin Short, as I suggested. :D

And I am sad, because I had my mean string coming up.

A reminder of the VERY confusing rules:

*I will post an initial picture, a string of pictures in the middle, and then a concluding picture. The first person has to use the initial picture, and one of the pictures in the middle string, and "connect" them when they appear in the same movie. The next person will take the second performer listed in the previous response, and select one of the remaining pictures in the middle string, and find a film those have in common. This continues until there is only one picture in the middle string, which then has to be "connected" to the end picture.
*There may be more than one correct way of navigating through the set of pictures. However, not every choice will let you get all the way through the list. If you think that is the case, and you find yourself stuck, you may back up as far back in the response list as you like and restart the list at that point.
*A person can only post to a particular set once every 12 hours; that is, you may post again 24 hours after your last post on the same set. The clock also restarts with every new set of pictures.
*Only posts in the string that finally makes it to the end will count for points for those that posted on that set.
*The strings will get longer with each correct set of answers (up to a point).
*One last note, these are all film connections ... not television.

Round 6, Set 47

OK, this is my second and final tribute, I think, to a well known film series. You can NOT select any of the films from the series to respond with an answer.

Because there are 35 faces to identify and string together (all from this same series), I shall give these hints:
(1) The beginning and ending pictures are in the upper left hand corner; i.e., the actor portraying the title character and the man next to him. You can start with either.
(2) The way I would go about this would be to identify six figures, who I think would have the least amount of links to themselves outside of this series.
Those six would be the three youngest performers, and the ones portraying the squib, the sports referee, and the person who had a weird semi-out-of-control tongue/licking problem.
(They have fewer links because of their inexperience, or because most of their work is in television or theater.)
Taking those six and their surrounding people probably cuts the list in half, and then you could try to fill in the gaps after that.
That is just one approach.
(3) Clicking on the picture SHOULD bring you to a larger picture, in case you can't identify all of the faces, but inside my browser it doesn't get MUCH bigger.
However, if you copy the "larger" image into some utility like MS Paint, you can see faces somewhat better.

Finally, I hope at least one of you has had some reason to see some of these movies. If not, I am sure you could pay my daughter to watch them with you. She saw one in the movie theater 21 times.

Wait.. this wasn't the mean one? ;)

Nah, I'm made of heartier stuff than that... and I do watch movies from time to time... but I've never been one to remember actors and roles (or bands and songs) very well. At least I've seen some of the series from the new tribute... although that may not work in my favor much. :)

Here goes nothing:
Daniel Radcliffe was in The Tailor of Panama with Brendan Gleeson

Damn...I just got that one....

I have to admit that I have never seen one minute of any of these movies...so I am at quite the loss. Nor have I read any of the books. I may just go with the more well-known folks that I seen.

And good to see Likes can take her lumps like the rest of us have!!!

Damn. I just got it, too.

I, however, know these movies pretty well. I own all the books and the whole set on DVD. Already looking forward to July for the final installment. :)

I can see two people who will be pestered.

Err, consulted. That's what I meant.

I have read all the books, but that doesn't help with the who's who in the movies. I've not seen all the movies (I get mine from the library and watch at home... if there's an annoying movie theater experience - I'll find it every time).

However, being Irish I'll admit to enjoying Brendan Gleeson in several roles which did make the start of this one a tad easier. All bets are off for the rest though... but it looks fun.

Helps that I have a sister who is ga-ga over movie stars and their lives (ack!)... she "schooled" me on several of the actors and their professional and personal connections... mind you there will still be plenty of looking things up on my end, but at least I have a clue and a jump start on the research. ;)

Right or not, I'm jumping in too. :)

Daniel Radcliffe was in The Tailor of Panama with Brendan Gleeson

Brendan Gleeson was in In Bruges with Clemence Poesy

Show off *sticks out tongue at you*
Still doesn't make In Bruges any better though... urgh, what a movie
Think I'd rather watch Three Fugitives again ;)

Well, in a normal set I try to pick movies that at least show off the acting qualities of the people involved. I have to be a little less picky when I am doing one of the themed set where I am trying to cram a lot of people into the list.

Yes. It is exactly the same Mr. Fancy Pants. :p

It just so happens that my little e dashes have superpowers - they're invisible. So there!

*flounces off in a huff* ;)

Pants? Who's wearing pants?

Well, I could start by setting down the time from 12 to 8 hours at a shot.

And I suppose I can give a helping hand here ... while Clémence Poésy is the French actress towards the upper right hand corner, and is only in a couple of movies outside the series with any of the Potter characters, I personally do not believe you can get through the list by linking her to Brendan Gleeson. I'd try another link ... one with someone who probably is more familiar to you.
