Sisters are precious. Daniellekitten's was almost lost today.

Thanks you guys

You're the best. I actually got back home at 4 this morning. Steph is living in a little town up by the Mackinaw Bridge. I don't know if any of you have heard of Indian River or not.

Anyway, she has bumps and bruises, a slight case of whiplash and a burn on her arm and one on her chin from the air bags. Thank God for air bags, it could have been so much worse.

She was going through a green light when some girl making a left hand turn drove right into her. There were cops sitting at the corner and they saw the whole thing. To make matters so much worse, the little idiot that hit her had no license, no insurance and was driving a car with an illegal plate and no registration. She's really lucky it took me four an a half hours to get up there.

Steph is resting comfortably in her home upnorth. She has a whole group of friends taking care of her. I swear I saw one guy peeling grapes. She's also got a few days off of work and is enjoying the hell out of it. The girl works two jobs and some sixty to seventy hours a week.

Thanks again, I'll let her know about this thread. Now that she's eighteen, she can read it herself.:rose::kiss::rose:

Woo-hoo! Celebrate and count blessings! (Reminded to take moment to count some of my own - thanks DK & Sis.)

(I never got that peeling grapes thing. Breaking the resistance of the skin is part of the pleasure of biting into one. :D )

Best to DK and Sis. :rose:

That's such great news, Danielle. I'm so glad things turned out as well as they did. *HUGS*

Don't you wish stupid people could be stupid without involving others?

Aww Dani....I am so happy that she's ok......bumps and bruises will heal....thank God....still you're both in my prayers :rose:......stupid drivers...ugh....

Thanks all. She just called me. She feels like one huge bruise today and the skin under her chin is all swollen up and bruised. The doctor gave her pills and she won't take them. She's alway been like that. She doesn't even like taking aspirin. The poor kid, I feel sorry for her. This had to happen right before college.

Glad your sister is okay, Danielle. If your sister is anything like you, she's a tough cookie, she'll probably recover quickly, find that girl who hit her and slap the shit out of her!

Being a fellow Michigander, I have heard of Indian River, but I've never been there. I've heard it's nice though.

I just got home, saw this and smiled. Thanks, Dani, for letting us know. Had me worried for awhile. ;)

Good news! :rose:

And I can't believe how close she lives to my home town and all of my relatives!

Small world, indeed!

Terriffic news Dani.

Damn stupid drivers anyway. She deserves some jail time.

Healing vibes and mellow thoughts to your lil' sis. :rose::rose:
