What corruption are you referring to?

Personally, seems like the US has the loudest voice anyway. It may only have '1 vote' but still has the clout, nouse and wherewithall to apply pressure on other voters at will in most circumstances.

...and if it can't get enough votes it does tend to find a way to go ahead with its own agenda anyway.

This recent UN recognition of Palestine was a genuine surprise to me. I didn't think the UN would get its shit together with all the threats coming from the US and Israel. Even us (UK), the self-styled adoring poodle, abstained.

The irony, for me at least anyway, is that Israel's shenanigans with Palestine the past few years have actually turned a lot of previously sympathetic states/people against them.

Killing 100 Palestinians for every 1 Jew and illegal settlement building hasn't been good PR for them.

I say YES! USA fund only proportionately to your voting power but don't expect any more unofficial UN favours under the table.

Let's face it, the UN as a functioning organisation is totally inept anyway.

Will never forget the ineptitude of the UN peace keepers as they watched genocide unfold on all sides in Yugoslavia.
