Gee whiz, folks! Two counter-cultural threads and it's two too many? I think they should stay in Talk, where on-topic discussions belong. There's hardly any fluff in either of them, and I doubt there's really any risk of their becoming affirmation or gossip circles of the sort that belongin the Cafe.

I see the start of a new world war, maybe the invasion of SMACK by the United Nations of Writerdom. All that blood and violence could be fun to watch.
I would have to say I am unaffiliated in this, best place to be in a war. Which would mean that I then would be in the same club as Netzach.

Let's assume there are such threads about really nasty events--scenes of rape, degradation, etc--and these are readily identifiable by perceptive persons like Writer Dom.
I'm unaware of any policy, rule or plan to put the nasty stuff in the cafe.
This is to assume the basic issue is "Are you ssc or not"; which is sorta like "Are you a patriot or are you un-American."
Rather than get into a slogan debate and discussion (see that elsewhere, in the effort of Miss T to 'bump' the RACK and SCC thread), the SMACK thread has simply from the start advised practicers of cruel kink to pay heed to the law.

Pure I moved up the Rack versus SSC thread not as an attack on SMACK but as a means to have a discussion about SSC and RACK.
Lately a lot has been said about SMACK. I thought it would give everyone a nice way to exchange thoughts and maybe take the edge of what seems to be an edgy situation for some.

Top op was never meant to be anti-SSC--that's more Pure's gig in his thread. Pure takes some general, incoherent vibes that are floating around and, in his inimitable, polemical, incorrgible way, manages to effect a mass polarization. I simply wanted a place in which to stake my claim that Domination and Mastery are dark deeds and to demand that all Doms admit that they were like me at bottom--motivated by sexual rage. This is not neccesarily inconsistent with a policy of SSC. Now I'm not even so sure about that anymore (domivation). I even read one of writerdom's stories and got a bit of a boner. But since sexual rage was never far from my mind, the fantasies and discussions in my thread tended towards a little more hardcoreness.
I voted against being tarred and feathered and ridden on a rail into big-hug, teletubbie cafe-land because I think that Topopolis is a pretty chewy-content place. But all in all, it makes no difference. Maybe if we move, characters like Carnus and Fungi Ungi or whatever will stop by and catch the disease of dark philosophy. I'd like to convert James G5 to the dark ways too. Anyway, whatever.
