as some of you know, i kept one here for several months, and really enjoyed doing it. then the world of lit and real life collided some. i'm kind of afraid of bringing it back. i was completely honest and forthcoming in it. i wont do it if i can't do that again.

what do you guys think?

i never got to read it, but i think it would be interesting :)

Don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Just in case this is another one of those whining, "I'm leaving Lit threads..."

AJ, your illiteracy astounds.

I never actually read it. Why do you post your journal here? Don't they have actual journal sites dedicated to such things?

Do you relate to all the people you love with personal attacks...

FYI it's not 4 hours, more like 2.5...

WANNA SEE ME TONIGHT SWEETIE?

shy, thanx, but that's not exactly what i wanted to know. i just meant do you think it's a good idea to keep posting my personal life in a place where it may become compromised?

sin, what the fuck are u talking about? i never left. it was one thread i already stopped posting month's ago. i'm considering brining it BACK.

km. no one asked you to read it. i posted here cause i felt like it. there's no rule against it and a lot of peole read so what if you didn't. it doesn't bother me,so why should it bother you that i wrote it. and as far as my illiteracy, i don't know what i did to deserve that. and btw...who the hell is aj?

I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, just ask KM. It had the sound of a prelude.

BUT I WASN'T A PUSSY ABOUT IT!

:p

Not that my opinion matters in the least. I'll give you my .02 anyway.
No, I don't think you should post your journal here anymore.
You are an honest enough poster here, we don't need any more elaboration on the sordid details of your life.
You tell us enough about yourself just by the threads you start.
But, if you feel like sharing with everyone that bad.....why shouldn't you. You don't need our permission or our opinion.

Pull your dick out of your ass, pagan, you'll feel less restricted and maybe your brain will start working again. I asked a simple fucking question and I didn't think it was the least bit bitchy. You asked a question and I gave you the courtesy of an answer without personally insulting you. But you wanna fucking get into you just go right on ahead.

Is your name AJ? Then I wasn't talking to you about illiteracy. I was talking to you lil' registered troll there, Synthesist. AKA Andra_Jenny, aka a whole bunch of other crap. He's got more pseudonyms than *bratcat* on all of the boards she roams combined.

AJ, have you considered moving to the Australian outback? I understand they have not 'Net access, but you get to see all those hungry crocodiles.

sorry i misunderstood... do i think it's a good idea?? to a certain degree I would say no, But i dont know how your online relationships with everyone here on lit is, so i would have to say go with your gut. i wouldnt do it, but look at how well some of my posts have been recieved, lol! not to mention the fact that i am totally boring, so my journal would read like this everyday:

got up, took the kids to daycare... did laundry, cleaned the house, picked the kids up.... you get the point. shy

Woah, Synthisist is a chick?

And on to less shocking matters...

I, personally, find journals boring and self serving. There's nothing wrong with self-serving, but I just don't see the need for it on a community board.

Why not keep a journal in Word? You could just send it through email to those who would like to read?

Geez, KM, you are positively ranting. When you look at what you just posted in the morning you will see how incoherent you sound. How, exactly does that make you look better than me? It's a lot like the name-calling thing that you so love to indulge in.

Bratcat dropped her handle for a reason.

I shed mine, but I don't go back to them. And I w\always let the board know when I do drop each handle.

Andra_Jenny was a contributing writer. People like you made Andra_Jenny withdraw A_J's stories because you could not seperate politics from art.

You are a cancer...

Wiggles, don't you ever find lit to be like an interactive journal? I do. In a way.

I have tried to keep regualr journals but they are all short lived. And besides, who would read it? At least here I am being read.

paganangel, i have a livejournal at www.livejournal.com and i would be happy to give you a code so you can start one there.

I saw one like that called opendiary or something. Nah. I have fun here. Well, not all the time. Sometimes I lose my mind, which is not fun, except in hindsight.

In a way yes, it's sort of like an interactive journal, but the important word there is interactive. Meaning, it's not just you or me blathering on about our dates last night. There are other folks stimulating our minds, pushing us to examine new parts of our psyche, pushing our limits.

When I think of online journal, I think of one person sharing the intimate details of their life. And I'm sorry, everyones life is special to them, but usually it's not that interesting. To me at least.

Oh, and btw, glad to see that AV back, the other was a little too visually complicated for my feeble mind. :)

This would lead to a whole new topic, but in a way, this place is truly a living text, unfinished. It is like a textual orgy... a clusterfuck of textuality of posts(ers)

Glad you like my av. Was my first. Probably closestly resembles my psyche.

It's a painting by Waterhouse. Called Hylas and the Nymphs.

:)

all my friends from high school keep live journals. for us it's a great way to let everyone know what's going on in our lives when time zones and work scheduals prevent us from IMing or talking on the phone. it's easier than writing it in word and e-mailing because it's a one click deal. i don't expect anyone but my best friends would want to read it. they're the only people i've given links to, except for a few who i've asked to look at poetry or fiction i've posted there. they are self serving and boring for the most part, especially mine :) but it serves it's purpose quite nicely and i enjoy it.

I agree. When Pagan's journal was posted, it was just another thread to skip over ever day for me. I never opened it.

On the other hand, some of the longest threads here are really nothing more than daily journals for a couple people who post to them often. If I can skip over all of them, one more won't matter.

I have trouble believing that you skip over any thread.

Ah, but I do! The long running threads in particular, and others that have no interest at all for me. Like personal journals. ;)

There aren't enough hours available in the day to even keep up with the General Board anymore. I don't know how some people post to all of the different choices at Lit.
