Should I come out?

...not as gay, but as a man?

The thing is I have a number of stories on here that I wrote while trying to think like a woman (I was, and still am writing a novel from a female perspective), and I hung around the boards for a while as a woman too. Whilst I am sure that's not unique I do feel about guilty about it, on this forum especially.

This, therefore, is testing the waters. Would you be horrified to find out? Or should i come clean that the person a few of you spoke to doesn't exist (except in my fevered imagination)?

And just in case you're wondering I haven't posted anything for a while.

With all of the alts used here I don't think it should be a problem. The exception would be if you feel your deception has the potential to hurt someone's feelings.

Well, quite.

I think you should just keep going as a girl cause its fun to get Pms and e-mailes from people who think your a girl but your not but you write like one so everybody thinks you are and stuff but I guess it just matters if you feel bad about being a girl or you want to find a girlfriend here or a boyfriend if you are gay but you dont have to tell anyone if you are cause thats your business and stuff but it is fun to write like someone of the opposite sex sometimes and Ai think it takes a lot of magination to do and thats waycool and stuff but if you wait too long to tell everyone then nobody will believe you and thats even funnier sometimes cause you keep trying to tell them and they think your joking and stuff

Debbie

I'm waving but you can't see me

I bet you give great blowjobs, being able to hold your breath that long.

I wrote something on another website from a woman's point of view. The public comments were kind of amusing.

One comment asked: "You are a woman, right? You understand the way we women feel so well."

The comment that followed said: "The writer's name is Alfie, you idiot! Of course it isn't a woman!"

So I guess it doesn't matter much whether you 'come out' as a man or not.

Earl? Is that you?

The Earl is a man. Still. Have voice chatted with him.
Your writing styles are similar... at least in your posts.

Well, you got me guessing for sure. :)

Only advise I have is that honesty is less complicated in the long run.

I think you should be honest and come out. I do think you should tell the people (or men) that you have spoken to who think you are a girl first, just so they aren't suprised or hurt...

Edited to add: Now if only Carson would come out and say he really straight... *sigh*

First and foremost, have a care for those who might be hurt by the revelation. Tell them privately and allow time for healing before blurting to the rest of the world.

Imp, I have a confession to make....

I ate your muffin...

Seems to me that if coming out was not the right thing to do you would not be concerned about it.

Sorry, explain that to me?

If you didn't think it was wrong to be identified as a woman when you are not, then you would not have even thought to ask the question. The fact that you are asking the question at all indicates that you feel wrong about your percieved identity.

However, at this point you're pretty much out of the closet whether you want to be or not. So, you've answered your own question.

How is he out of the closet? From what I can see, he created a new ID to pose the question.

OT, I'd agree with the others. Speak in private with those you feel might be most surprised before you make the public announcement.

Sorry I hadn't really looked at his info.

Jesus. I was convinced that you were Diana Ross.

I didn't even notice your Adam's apple.
