Should a White legal immigrant have more rights than an Illegal Mexican Immigrant?

- most of those who oppose illegal immigration do it because illegals are from Mexico.

I bet that if you did a poll of opinion among Legal immigrants of various ethnicities(latinos too), they will tell you that they're against illegal immigration too.

- all those who voted for Trump (half of the US) are racists.
When in fact some are, but the vast majority voted for him because Hillary sucked, or because they saw him at the time as anti - establishment or less of a warmonger than his predecessors.

The vitriol in some of the publications attest to that.

But that doesn't change the fact that they broke the law and when you break the law, you have to suffer consequences.
And it's not like they fleed because their lives were in danger, or that if they go home, they risk dying of hunger like some people from Africa still do.

I'm aware that in certain contexts non- white instead of non- caucasian can sound a bit prejorative,
and I avoid using the word in such contexts, but otherwise I don't see anything wrong with calling whites whites, blacks blacks, asians asians (even if they all look so different) and so on.
I just feel that for such 'political' discussions to be more effective, we should avoid being too PC.

Just to use an analogy:

When I first emmigrated, I landed in a town well known for certain xenophobic attitudes in certain circles. I wasn't disadvantaged or unfairly treated in any way workwise or economically. So I'm not referring to "non-immigrant privilege".

They were very PC in their speech about how kumbaya they were with foreigners.
Yet underneath that, I sensed that they were more distant with us than with their own, or they looked at us in certain way, or even passive- aggressive remarks sometimes. It hurt a lot more than it would have, if they told me to my face "fuck you, immigrant".
((Only a few of them were like that of course and I had excellent experiences with others, but when you emmigrate for the first time you tend to be oversensitive and focus more on the bad)).

Surely the colour of race/ethnicity of the immigrant is irrelevant? Perhaps the question should be "should legal immigrant have more rights than an illegal immigrant"?

As a side issue another question could be should USA citizens be denied the right to permanently emigrate out of their country? There are so many Yanks buying land in new Zealand that we will soon be eligible to be considered as the 51st state!

That Western societies are becoming more minorities - friendly.

And that even though sometimes kids from poor minority neighborhoods are at disadvantage because their schools are not as good, they're trying to correct this through Affirmative action.

You don't have to be a citizen to buy land in NZ. A few are taking out NZ citizenship, most notably Peter Thiel, but I wouldn't have a clue how many. I thought that NZ govt. were better at protecting their own citizens, because I know that in many public institutions the rule is: first our graduates independent of etnicity or accent, then immigrants.
Which is the way it should be, especially since once you get employed, you're treated just the same as the locals as in salary or other things (at least that was my general experience).
