He doesn't share HardRom's hate, but imo, in his and some of his liberal friends case, their anti-white agenda trumps their desire to advocate for oppressed minority groups.
Just like radical feminists with their anger about most men.

I'm a Canadian, and if I could (legally) emigrate to the US I would have done it already. I'm not an actor, or a model, and the one school that wanted to hire me put me down as #1 Alternate when they hired an Indian. Looks better on the diversity stats. Hell I don't even qualify for the lottery, and besides that would take 7 years.

I ended up having this immigration discussion in a Wisconsin bar, and apparently much to the bemusement of the sozzled cheeseheads, the quickest way to emigrate to the US is for me to fly to Syria, change my name to Ahmed, get placed in Minneapolis for two years until my refugee visa expires, then have a cab drop me at the Canadian border and claim refugee status there.

BAM! My next 5 years taken care of.

Hell maybe I should work on my Spanish and just hang out behind Milwaukee Home Depot's...

Illegal is not racial or cultural, it just is. If policy, or law, were that we're going to deport all the Nicaraguans but ignore the Ukrainians I could find fault. But that's just not the way it is. Numerically it is probable that more Central and South American illegals are going to be deported.

As far as assimilation goes that is going to become more and more of the exception rather than the rule. Considerably more so given that most of the illegals (refugees by some folks reckoning) are economic rather than philosophical. With cheap international travel and virtually free electronic communication the immigrant, legal or otherwise, has no incentive to assimilate. Technology has made it so that they are no longer "Strangers in a Strange Land." They just happen to be in a strange land with no communication delay to home.

Like someone mentioned in a particular thread, both racism and white privilege do exist.

As to white privilege:
In this day and age, western countries have laws in place to protect against it.
But KO is right in the sense that some people over here looked upon me with more benevolence because I was white. Just like, if I immigrated to England, I'm sure that some would look a bit less favourably to me because I speak with an accent.

But what sometimes gets annoying about the GB and the liberal massmedia, is the tendency towards villifying and seeing racists under every bed.

Koreans still face discrimination in Japan, AIUI. And at the time of WWII, at least, the Japanese appeared to regard all other Asians as inferior, and certainly treated them as if they had no rights Japanese were bound to respect. What they did in China was at least as bad as what the Germans did in Russia, and had a comparable body count; they compare favorably only in targeting no particular ethnic groups for extermination.
