This painting is inspired by my favorite composer, Rachmaninoff. There is an underlay of sheet music from his 2nd piano concerto, one of my favorites pieces. He used to retire to his summer estate to compose pieces and the name of that place was Ivanovka, hence the title of the painting...

This one is titled "Shani." It's similar in style to my "Honor" painting...

Ok i got lost in spirit2 just as a photo... damn i would love to see the real thing.

As for Rachmaninoff... a past friend of mine was trying to learn the second concerto for her piano exams.

The headaches it gave her but the final sound...... well it was extremely impressive.

I understand why you enjoy it.

Thanks Quickduck...a lot of people like Spirit 2 as well...it's hanging in my studio.

Rachmaninoff's 3rd piano concerto is my #1 fave with the #2 second. I wish I could play through the whole 2nd concerto, but I can play most of it.

I also had a piece dedicated to Chopin's Revolutionary Etude, but I sold it awhile ago and don't have a pic...:(

Doh.

Still, the ones i have seen are simply amazing.

I don;t know the first thing about art and hell I can;t even draw a stick figure properly, but I know what I like from people who can.

*chuckle* anyone who can express themselves in art (of any type) is very impressive to me.

Here is another one from my famed "Abstract Angel" series. It's getting to be a popular series, so I will paint more angels in the future. Thanks for looking!

As you can see, I love blues...

This one of my favorite paintings...

This next one is one of my absolute favorite paintings. It was painted at my friend's cottage several years back. I was outisde painting underneath a dying apricot tree...and then the leaves started to fall. I placed them on top of the painting.

"Jezioro Sniardwy" is the name of a lake in Poland, in the Augustowska Forest. As some of you know I write and this painting is about a girl who drowns in a lake and becomes a mermaid. Can you see her face in the painting?

Hope you like!

Now I'm torn, Shingen.....
I really want about five of you works...*sigh*...somehow, I'll have to settle on one.

I really love the blues in the Abstract Angel you just posted and I love the "Jezioro".

I'm in awe.
