Here is an abstract piece, part of my "Inferno" series created earlier this year. Hope you like!

Oh I like this one....but it reminds me of cattails.

Love your artwork...amazing pieces *s*

Here's another from my Abstract Angel series....this one has sold recently as well.
I love this series and this one is just gorgeous.

yuppietowngirl....any way you interpret my art is perhaps the best way you should see it, so if it reminds you of cattails, then so be it! :)

Pixie...thank you very much. I'm just beginning to see how powerful this series is. It's become much more spiritual to me.

espressolover..you're welcome!

This next one is one of my favorites and I have used it as an av from time to time....It's called Karen.

This one is simply titled "Shingen." This is one of the paintings I wish I didn't sell because it is one of my favorites....but a starving artist has to eat! lol

This is the first image I used as an av.

p.s. to Just Pet... Xin Gan actually means Sexy rather than sweetheart in Mandarin.... and it sure does seems than Shingen is a pretty sexy man as well as being an incredible artist

Hijack: the reference here is to one being as precious as one's heart and liver... sweetheart

Decided to check your thread out, glad I did. The "Karen & Claudia" paintings are very good. I always appreciate a artist that can capture the beauty of the female body on canvass and make it look so real. What does a painting like "Karen" go for, what's the size. Use e mail if you perfer. Thanks, Keep putting your art on here, you will get a great following. Tommy

Shingen........
I think this and your Angel ones are my favorites.
I just love it. You draw me in...make me want to see more. Walk through and spend time here.

Thank you for the journey.

JP...you can call me Xin Gan anytime!

Tommy...the size of Karen is 18"x24" on Canson paper. Chalk pastels are the medium. I'll pm you with an approximate price...thanks for looking!

espressolover...thanks for visiting, you're too cool!

Here's a pen & ink drawing...

This one is great - lovely lines and graphic quality. I am going to go see the Film Noir festival - just seemed appropriate to say with a pen & ink drawing/

Hey cocktail, since you liked that one, here's another pen & ink...

This one is called Heidi. As you can tell in most of my paintings, blue is one of my favorite colors...

Your drawings remind me very strongly of Aubrey Beardsley - you have a great eye and great craftsmanship.

God, they look like air brush - really nice.

I am including one of my favorite Schiele's - just to inspire you.

Hey, Shingen, really awesome stuff. I especially like Spirit and the angel Angel is currently using as an av. Your skill with chalk pastels is impressive. I've used them myself and I know how hard they are to control, especially if you want to get detailed.

BTW, what does "shingen" mean?

I stand corrected  Xin is heart and Gan is liver - Xing Gan is sexy

and the last Angel and Karen are very beautiful and Xing Gan pictures... I continue to immensely enjoy all of your work Shingen...

cocktail...I get that a lot, people thinking I airbrushed my work. No it's chalk pastel. I work with the colors and mix them just right to get those subtle shades.

Angel...I'm going to have to work on another angel. I'm all angel'd out.

Pyper...I have no idea what Shingen means. Although it's the name of a character in my writings...

hong...thank you for your comments...and interesting av!
