I like this one, too, Shingen. Something about the texture of the burgundy portion--very wood.

I love the shape of the green parts, too...and the black curly lines evoke writing and make me want to go up close to the painting and try to make sense, like decipher.

Thank you. :)

I don't see any green parts in that painting, but hey whatever floats your boat! lol

Thanks for your comments Mia! :rose:

I'm going to have a hard time deciding which painting to steal when I come to SD.

You've taken my breath away....

I was looking at your photograph thread....which is wonderful btw...I love how you tease us, your artistic poses, and of course your way with words...and saw the link for this thread and clicked on it.

What a joy to my eyes this thread is. Thank you thank you thank you. How you have mastered the skin and the effect of light on your illustrations! Magnificent.

I'm not much for abstract art but your talent has shown me that there are always exceptions. It's just exquisite.

Even your photography hon. You've definitely got a good eye. I have been to the Cliffs of Moher and know exactly where you must have been standing to take that. Looking at it reminds me that I'm afraid of heights from that angle. That's how real it is.

What a treasure you are Shingen. Certainly didn't expect to find talent such as yours on this forum. Can't thank you enough for sharing this with us.

I love the Cliffs of Moher and I am glad you can relate to how dangerous it was to take that one picture. The wind was blowing so hard that day I thought I was going to fly off the cliff...but it was worth it to take that pic. I do hope to go back someday.

Thank you for you comments and praise. You made me blush today and I don't blush easily...

:)

This painting was created when I was very depressed...and it came out so beautifully that it brightened my spirits. I hang this one in my room to remind me of my gifts.

It's called "Spirit."

Being one who has suffered depression, I related to this right away. Gorgeous... I can feel the light shining OUT of the darkness.
Thanks for sharing.
