Shifters..Open..

Rimac raised his heckles at the mountain lion and hissed back. He meant no harm to the woman Kara, and he certainly didn't like the judgemental air that the lion was giving off, especially in his direction. Elders were always doing that! Judging him! Scolding him for his curiosity! How on earth was he supposed to learn if he didn't try things?

Hearing Kara's question, and the response that was shortly cut off by the newly arrived man, Rimac's ears pricked up. As lothe as he was to shed his form, he now did. Shuddering slightly, his fur retracted into his bronzed skin, and his face shifted to that of a human male not quite out of his teens. The hair on his head went from it's cat-like golden yellow to almost purest black. Rimac stayed knelt on the floor, not quite as comfortable with his human nudity as the black man, who was until recently a panther.

Looking up at Kara from where he sat, he managed a small smirk.

"Some of us are Inca, yes"

Kara's first instinctive reaction was to jump on the defensive, but stopped herself Tai had been honest with her and she would be honest with them, and hope they wouldnt eat her. Actually .. i am a student Archeologist... i and my partner came to the jungle to study the runes, and write up our thesis to get our degree's, but when i came across the writings in the temple... i had to find out for myself if your kind truly existed..My partner and i agrued and well here i am.. i know it was foolish to come alone but as i said we argued and ...

Looking down at her watch she reolized that she had been gone from the base camp for over three hours and that even if her partner thought she was still pissed which she was he would start looking for her, and she didnt want him coming here. Speaking of my partner i have to get back to the base camp before he starts looking for me i dont want him to find any of you .. she said looking at each of them and watched in awe as the jaguar changed his form as well. Both his and the Panthers transfromations seemed smooth fluid and unhurried and didnt appear to cause them much pain, and Kara smiled hearing the Jaguar confirm that indeed some of the shifters were indeed part of one of the missing tribes...

Cascall smiled slightly at the hesitant mountain lion just before the jaguar transformed to a young man. The change left him kneeling on the ground. Either because he was new at shifting or because he was shy. A couple of strides took Cascall beside the man. He touched his shoulder softly as he whispered so only the young man heard it. "Do not be ashamed of your own nudity. It is the most natural state to be in." He smiles down to him.

For the first time he smiles to the human female after hearing her words. "That is mighty kind of you."

Tai smiled, listening to them all going on, then shook his head, closing his eyes, and slowly turned back into a human. He looked at the young woman, then at the others, and shook his head. He seemed to be the only one with the sense enough to hide his clothes. His clothes had become part of his scales, through the power of transmutation. He raised an eyebrow, looking at them all. "You'd better change back and find some clothes, so that we don't scare her friend. Chances are he's on his way here to try to find her, and as much as she trusts us, we should trust her."

Rimac looked up at the bigger man, and nodded. He seemed to be older, and probably wiser than Rimac was. "Yes, I know. Forgive me, but I just feel a little more comfortable wearing something, be it fur or skirt"

Kara mentioned something about not wanting them to be discovered, and the dragon, Tai, confirmed what she had said, and also had a way of making it sound commanding. He had to admit, it did make sense and, Rimac had done a good deed by confirming at least one of Kara's beleifs.

Shifting his shoulders, he prepared for the change back. Being young still, he could not do it instantly, but would have to wait a short moment before his body would allow him to. He smiled again at Kara, various thaughts running through his head as he did. "As everyone is giving their name, I shall. I am Rimac of the Chuquiapo Inca"

"No need to ask for forgiveness." Cascall says to Rimac. He smiles slightly at him before taking a step away from him. He ignores the dragons former dragons remark as he feels very comfortable, be it with or without clothes. "If her friend comes here, which i hope not. I doubt some nudity will scare him of. As she are leaving i hope she will lead him elsewhere." he smiles to Kara. "This woman don´t seem intimidated by some nudity. If she are not, why would a man fear it?"

"As everyone is giving their name, I shall. I am Rimac of the Chuquiapo Inca" Kara smiled at the Jaguar and said.It is an honor to meet all of you., and hearing the panthers words blushed while trying to explain. No er umm i dont mind.. but many humans out side of the jungle think it indecent and wrong to be unclothed unless bathing or mating.

Seeing Tai begain to transform she watched, and wondered if it were a prefreance to create clothing or simply an ability that came with time, but knew she couldnt stay to ask no matter how much she wanted to do so.

Hearing someone calling her name in the distance.. her eyes grew wide, and she looked at the others around her she knew they could dissapear and hide in an intstant and thinking quickly decided it would be best if she were found alone... at least easer to explain. Can you all hide... I can tell him that he was right and that i didnt find anything.. if he sees you all he might think i am hiding something. which of corse she was but he didnt need to know that..

Picking up her pack, and slipping her knife into its sheath at her side she said..I'll try and lead him away.. before slipping thru the trees and heading in the direction of the voices calling her name

Tai smiled, then seemed to vanish even as she looked at him, blending in with the background in the darkness, moving silently. He intended to watch her meeting with her friend, if for no other reason than to make sure the others were safe. He moved through the darkness, trusting that the others would be disappearing by now.

Cascall smiled at the woman. Then his transformation began. As always it was painful, but that pain was a second nature to the black man and soon the panther was in his place. He lazily let his eyes wander over the other shifters before resting on the woman. With a low growl he turns and vanishes among the bushes.

Connor made his way slowly through the jungle. He was the first of his tribe to attempt this journey. Many of them never last their homeland, but he had always been adventurous.
Connor laughed loud enough for the whole group to hear him as he leaned up against a tree. "Well, well, well," he crooned, his Irish accent very apparent. "Were it not for the fact that I've seen many a strange thing in my time, this would truly be a sight to set the heart crossways inside of me."

Noticing this human standing so close to me I wonder if he is a Lycan as well... Sniffing the air as he speaks I wonder if the others are so entranced by the female they did not notice his appearance...
Sitting coiled in the shadow of the tree I watch... waiting patiently...

Rimac smiles and nods. Quickly looking around, he could see the others vanish into the undergrowth. Flexing and breathing deeply, he jumped up and grabbed the branch of the tree he was in earlier. Quickly climbing up to one of the higher branches, he shifted his form back to that of the jaguar. Finding a good thick branch, he layed down compleatly still, almost invisable from the ground below, but able to keep an eye on what was happening

The others were giving their names, and she was about to transform and give her own, after all there was no longer any reason to hide what she was, when she too heard the male voice. With a soft low growl she slinked back into the underbrush, before lazily jumping into the large and stout branches of one of the jungle trees.

Her feline body spread out amongs the branch as she settled in to watch. Like the others, she surmised, she was waiting to see what would happen. She hoped all would go well, as her lycan self was craving this contact with others like herself.

Kara made her way to her partner Ian, and their team of scintists making sure she was far enough way from the falls that he wouldnt suspect she had come from that direction. Ian.. I am here.. Kara listend as he and his men changed directions and waited while they came into view. What the hell did you think you were doing out here.. you could have been killed..I didnt think you would be stupid enough to go out on your own...you..

Ohh shut up Ian your just angry because i didnt agree with you well you know what you were right ok.. isnt that what you wanted to hear?? you win.. I went to the spot and they didnt appear just like you said they wouldnt...Feel better?? she said her arms crossed her eyes narrowd as she waited expecting him to argue further.

Ian's expression was comical as it switched between anger, and smug male superiourity..and of corse back to anger.. I told you the runes only showed the Mayans feeding human hearts to jaguars not changing into them... which Kara had to admit they did show that but there was more too it.., and she didnt think it would be too hard to keep Ian from finding it because he just wanted to finnish and leave. He didnt really seem to enjoy exploring as much as she did, and not for the first time did she think Ian was more suted to a desk job or being a musem specialast who received the artifacts and information Archeologists dug up.

Kara dropped her arms rolling her eyes and said.. Can we go back to the camp now?? we still have to finnish outlining the runes.. and take photos.. Ian nodded and lead the way back to the camp his men falling in behind.

She knew she had distracted Ian away from the falls and the shifters because as they returned to their camp near the runes he lectured her the whole way..Which of corse these things could have been done much sooner had you not taken off...

To which Kara had almost replyed'' well had you not been such an ass.. but kept her opionion to herself because she was glad he hadnt sent anyone with her, but she couldnt show that ether.

Tai nodded, then walked back to the waterfall, and made a noise like that of an owl, to let them know all was clear. He sat down on the rock, and started meditating, clearing his mind. He didn't bother checking to see if the others had come out of hiding, somehow knowing she'd be back later to check on them, and absently considered hunting something to eat. He finally got up, and started to head off into the forest, planning on hunting some meat.

Connor was about to add his name when the interlopers came. He quickly ducked out of sight. And watched the procedings from the shadows. As the humans headed out, he got an idea and grinned to himself. He already had gotten better hang of the jungle territory than the human group, so passing them by was easy enough. He could have made better time though if there wasn't so much interference with the scent trail. This was always so much easier in Europe.

Either way, he did manage to make it back to the human's camp, and five minute ahead of the group at that. He stumbled into it, looking very weary and distressed. If nothing else, Connor was a good actor. "Oh thank god! I thought I was lost for sure out there!"

As everyone rushed to help him, Connor related the story of how he was a simple tourist who had gotten separated from his group and had only managed to make himself more lost in a moment of panic.

Kara wanted to do two things at once. Smack him for his foolish antics and laugh.. she did neather pretending to be just as worried as the others by pulling out her canteen and offering him a drink as he told his tale..

Well Conner its a pleasure to meet you.. I am Kara Jennings and this is my partner Ian McDuogal. Your welcome to stay and travle back with us when we leave and Ian can contact the turist groups to let them know your alive, and if Ian cant find a spare tent you can use mine i dont mind sleeping on the ground. She said watching as Ian moved away to raido in that they had found a missing turiest.

She knew he would lecture her later about taking in people she didnt know anything about but even Ian with Conner's accent couldnt call him a lier when he clamed to be a turest who had gotten lost. Once Ian and his men were out of ear shot Kara looked up into Conners eyes and she could see the laughter he was trying hard to keep hidden. What are you doing here? she whispered wondering what else he was up too.

Connor smirked. "I'm havin' a little foon," he answered in a whisper before raising his voice to normal as if answering more questions. "It's not often I get to travel outside of Dublin these days. So the chance to get out here was just too good to pass up."

He wiped the sweat from his brow and took another sip of water. "Truth be told, aside from gettin' lost and havin' a million foockin' bugs trying to suck me dry like the spawn of Dracula, it's been a very pleasant trip."

Tai was following some tracks, when he caught sight of the camp she mentioned. He examined the camp, seeing the Irishman, and shook his head. He thought for a few moments, then walked slowly up to the camp. "Excuse me, I was hunting something to eat, and I found your camp. Have you seen any game animals?"

The snake

Realizing all have either hidden or moved on the python comes out of the shadow & slips into the water... soaking up the moisture.... the water is warm from the sun & most pleasing to such a cold blooded animal... Relaxing in a warm spot she lifts her head just out of the water to prop on the bank.
She thinks back to the events that have passed... thinking of the one that almost stepped on her... the one with the dark scales but with wings & feet... So many things to remember, to contemplate...
Her eyes forever open she sleeps at the bank... always feeling any vibration on the ground that would make her instantly back slide into the water's safety...

The mountain lion gracefully slid off from her perch. She padded back to the clearing, stopping only to transform herself. She stood there, naked by the pool of water.

"Well that was interesting. Humans. In the most sacred of places!"

She spoke her frustrations to nobody in particular, knowing that there were still some shifters left in the area.

Feeling the movement nearby the Snake awakens to witness the cat go to human form...
Ducking back under the water she retreats, not knowing if this is friend or foe..When there are no spashes nearby she pokes her head out of the water... curiously sniffing the air & watching the shifter...

With a scrabble, Rimac lept from his hiding brach and splashed down in the deeper end of the water quite gracefully, the water aking a sound much quieter than would be expected for when a big cat hit it. Popping his feline head out of the water, he managed to approximate a smile and let out a low, rumbling purr. He had to admit, the water felt good against his fur, sacred place or not...

Cascall slowly comes out from the bushes again. No sign of the humans so he transforms back to the black man. He sits down on a rock close to the water. He hears the former mountain lions words and smiles slightly. "The woman was oblivious to our existance, until she was spoken to." He shruggs slightly. "Now we just have to hope she keeps her word."

She splashes some of the cool water against her skin. The day was hot, and she liked the cool feeling. She glanced over at the black man who had transformed himself.

"She's a scientist. A human. Trust isn't always gauranteed."

she gathered her loose hair and tucked it over one shoulder.

Cascall nods at her words and stands up. He sighs deeply. "This surely complicates things." He walks down to the water and stands there deep in thoughts. If it looks like the human would be dishonest and tell the world of this place and the creatures lurking there, Cascall would have to kill her and probably kill the peaple with her as well.

The thought was not appealing to him but to protect his kind it may be necessary. Shaking off his dark thoughts he turns to the female lycan again. "My name is Cascall. I haven´t seen you here before."
