Shifters..Open..

Cascall nods to her. He wonders if he had made her uncomfortable. It wasn´t his attention. He had been all by himself for about 10 years now and old habits where hard to break. The shifters he had met that took the same form as him had always been very closed up. The questions he had in his head of who he was had to stay unanswered.

Sighing he felt that he did not need to be like them. Cold and unfeeling. It had just been so long since he talked with anyone. Really talked. He turns his eyes to Niabi and takes the hand she withdrew just a moment ago in his. "Yes, it will be dark soon." He looks down at the water. "It is not bad sharing the night with someone. Haven´t spoken with anyone in a long time. Mostly spend my time in solitude."

"I think I'll join you. I figure it would make for a nice addition to my tour."

Connor followed after her, keeping at her side with an even, graceful stride. When he was certain no one would eavesdrop on them, he whispered to her, "So, how much do you know about our kind?"

Kara couldnt help the laugh that escaped her lips as she looked over at Conner.I was about to ask you pretty much the same thing. Her expression became a little more serious as she found another wall that hadnt yet been photographed or uncovred.

Setting down her pack she pulled out her camra and took what she called before photos. Mostly what i know comes from the films and such aside from the writings i found here in the runes, and what i saw today. she said making sure to keep her voice down.

Setting her camra back inside her pack she pulled out her tools and begain carefully uncovering the wall so that she could see the markings and make Rubbings of the runes so that they could be translated later on.

After Tasia made sure that Connor and Kara were safely away from the camp (and nosy humans) she backed up a bit, accidentally bumping into Rimac. If it had been possible for foxes to really laugh she would have done so. His face registered a shocked disgruntlement that was priceless...especially on the face of a jaguar. She turned a bit and nuzzled his nose in apology, before turning around completely and trotting back toward the falls.

After taking a few minutes to return to human shape, Tasia finished her stroll back to the falls, the better to keep an ear out for the shifter and human female.

I wonder if the jaguar's tribe would allow him to help me protect the falls? After all, he hasn't anything to do..and I could use the extra help. Mayhap I will ask on the morrow.

Finally, the rumble and fury of the waterfall brought Tasia out of her revery. Hunkering down, she crawled under the roots of a huge tree and returned to her den, grabbing some clothes to put on from her duffle bag.

Tai looked up, seeing a young woman walk up to the waterfall. He smiled, tossing her a bit of meat that had just finished cooking. "Welcome. I'm in the middle of cooking a meal for these kiddies." He grinned slightly, adding wood to the fire in front of him.

Tasia had just returned from dressing when she saw the dragon cooking dinner.
With a smile, she deftly snatched the tossed peice of meat and began chewing on it slowly, savouring the juices as they exploded against her tongue.

"Hullo. I am the guardian for this meet. My name is Tasia."

A happy grin lit her face and a solitary dimple popped into existence. Even in human form she was still exceedingly foxish. But what could one do but be how the gods made them?

"I noticed Rimac back by the human camp. I hope he returns soon."

Moving closer, Tasia found a comfortable spot and knelt down.

Rimac was ganuinely supprised when the warefox lady backed into him, causing him to quietly yelp in supprise, his big green eyes seemingly going wider. She nuzzled her apology and moved off back into the jungle. Rimac was still slightly stunned when she left, but shook his head and returned his attention to the camp.

After a short while with nothing of note happening that he could see, Rimac turned and stalked off back into the jungle, his form moving easilly through the undergrowth.

It wasn't long before he arrived back at the falls to find the others settling down to a small feast of meat. Slingking closer to the woman he recognised from before, he settled on a rock not too far from her and blinked slowly, smiling as best he could with his jaguar jaw

Tai nodded, hoping the same thing. "The young human woman seems to have caused quite a stir. She has many qualities that remind me of the Draconics, but I don't think she's one of us. I always found the truly curious humans to be most interesting." As Rimac returned, Tai smiled, and tossed him a chunk of meat as well.

"I'm afraid I didn't bring much in the way of seasoning. I'll have to hunt some herbs later. Still, some animals have their own particular flavor."

"In other words, nothing," Connor remarked. "The movies don't get it right. I can't speak for all of my kind, but I can tell you about us werewolves. Or at least those of us from Ireland."

He glanced around to make sure no one else was nearby to eavesdrop. He scented the air. A couple trespassers, but they weren't human. "For one thing, there is no forced transformation. For another we're not evil. On top of that, we don't eat people. The kind of shite your species eats every day, feh. I'd rather snack on a fookin' ceiling tile."

Kara couldnt help the chuckle that escaped at hearing Conners comment about their food. Finnishing the rubbing she carefully put the rubbings in her pack, and pulled her camera back out to photograph an after shot of the wall. Ok so enlighten me.... she said smiling, before moving a little futher along the wall near one of the entrances to the runes.

I do have one question tho is it true if your kinds pic is taken that it wont show up on film? she asked remembering having read it somewhere...

Niabi just smiled when he took her hand again. She moved over, making room for him on her rock at the waters edge. A few of the others were begining to return to the falls, and one had even started a fire and food.

"It is nice to be here...to be away from humans...well mostly."

She liked his company, and the comfort that he knew what she was and accepted her for it.

Cascall sits down beside her on the rock. Not much room so their bodies touches as they sit there. He keeps her hand in his and his eyes seem to be in a distant place. But his voice tells her he is present.

"I have always been most comfortable in solitude. No need to answer questions i don´t have answers to. Or at least questions i won´t answer."

Rimac caught the meat thrown his way in his mouth and, settling comfortably, held it down with his front paws while treaing chunks off of it with his jaws. Oh how he loved his animal aspect. It seemed so mach more... natural to him

Not long after the initial conversation with Tai...Tasia got up and excused herself. She noticed with a slight smile that Rimac had returned and was still in his jaguar aspect.

"I will return. Have some things that need to be tended to."

Tasia returned to her den, stripped down, allowed the change to occur and then scooted out the back, heading toward the lower ruins located closest to the falls. It was definitely time to check on the female and the other.

When she arrived, she heard the last question by Kara and struggled not to let out foxen glee. As if. Tasia had always heard that about the other ones..friggin bloodsuckers!

Connor furrowed his brow in thought. "That one's a little tough to answer. My clan never bothered to try. I know in our human forms we show up fine in pictures. But we never allow humans to see us transformed, so it made little difference to us.

"But I hear legends that some of our... relations if you will on the continent and across the pond could do that. To tell ye the truth... It's not somethin' I've really thought about."

Really?... Mind if i take your pic? when i get the film developed i can check and when i come back i can let you know not here of corse i dont want Ian or anyone to see, but maybe sometime before i leave if there is a chance.. She asked truly curious, about wether a photograp would work. Not because she wanted to show anyone but just out of simple curiousity.

Looking up from what she was doing, her silvery gray colored eyes meet his while she waited for his awncer, and wondered how she could get away from Ian and the others with out causing more problems..

Kara smiled thinking about slipping from her tent in the night like some teenager going to their first party, when in actuallity she was an adult slipping out to see some amazing people. She didnt like the comparasson much but Ian wouldnt understand and would only fight with her more if she told him.

The awncer to her question was she couldnt leave.. not without Ian possably following even if she slipped out of her tent. Her curiosaty would have to wait until she returned to the states and could come back on her own time with out Ian or any of the others... the only question now was when she returned would they be here or would she have to wait another 4yrs for the next gathering.....

Hearing Connor say something she shook herself from her thoughts.. What?.. ohhh i am sorry i was thinking could your repeat that please.....

True, there wasn't much room on the boulder, but Naibi didn't mind. In fact, it was rather comforting in a strange way...to be this close...this uninhibited with another.

"Silly questions are a waste of time."

She left her hand in his, and with her other hand softly stroked his arm. It was something her mother had done to her as a child, often when they were sitting in quietness. It just seemed right to do.

Cascall was quite surprised that he could feel so at ease with another person that he did with Niabi. Their nudity did not disturb him. He did not suffer from false modesty. It seamed that she was also relaxed and he let her stroking his arm. It was sort of comforting. It must be the panther in him that relaxes by her touch. Oddly enough he have to resist to start to purr. The sensation of the whole thing is very confusing but at this moment he don´t care. He just enjoy the feeling.

Tai checked the drying jerky, and nodded, then tossed each of the returning lycanthropes a chunk of meat from the three animals cooking. "So, what usually happens at these?"

Connor rolled his eyes in mock exasperation. "I was saying yes, but if you want me to work nude, it'll cost you extra."

hummmm a tempting offer but i am afriad i dont have anything to pay you with... So i guess you'll just have to keep your cloths on. She said with a grin. Picking her camra up and taking more pic's of the wall.. I think i am done with this wall and its getting pretty late. I just want to get a few shots of the inside...before we return to camp. Stepping inside she was careful mainly of traps and watched her footing as much as possable.

Our group leaves in the morning to head for the village...I plan on returning here when i get my deploma. Do you think any of you will be here when i get back? or will i have to wait 4yrs for you all to be together again? Graduation is two days after we return, so i have to write my thesis on the way back......... AHHH! Kara had been counting the squair tiles on the floor so as not to trip one of the traps but had miss counted while talking to Connor, and the floor broke away beneath her...

Jumping back quickly she caught at the edge of the opening... looking down she could see the spikes sticking up out of the ground and was releaved that she had caught the edge.. Looking up sh could see Connors concerned face and grinned.. Well that was interesting..guess thats what i get for running my mouth insted of concentrating on what i am supposed to be doing... will you give me your hand and help me up? She asked.

Tasia

After listening in to Connor's response, Tasia made her way back to the meeting place in time to hear the dragon's question. She cleared her throat as she came back through the underbrush and the waited to see if any one else would fill him in. When no one spoke up, she did so.

"The last few meets I have been at aren't really about business per se (unless of course human's are encroaching on sacred space or killing off the wildlife we protect in our areas). Usually, as far as I can tell, it's just a chance for us to meet and greet..see who else has had their first turning, welcome others into the fold."

Tasia stopped speaking for a few moments, trying to get her thoughts in order. Finally she spoke again, a certain foxen glee evident in her voice.

"Of course, I always thought it was just a chance for the lycans of various tribes to meet and make out..but I could be wrong..."

Tai listened to the fox's explanation, and grinned at her ending comment. "Yes, well....I know some aren't turned, some are born, like myself. Still, it should be interesting to see how many just show up to 'make out'."

Tasia nodded.

"In my tribe we are born, but do not experience our first human to animal or animal to human (as I was) until our adolescent years. I just always assumed everyone was that way..."

A quick grin, green eyes sparkling.

"However, I never had the pleasure of making out with another from a different tribe...I am too busy playing *watcher in the woods*.

A diffident shrug.

"I do wonder though if this time will be different. With a human camp so close..and the alpha male being such a nosey bastard...well what if this one gets cut short? Or has to go longer than usual? Only way that I can see to avoid either of those possibilities is to rid us of that particular human...which would probably be awful for the female who has taken such a liking to our *wolf*"

Niabi grinned as she sensed him almost purr. She shifted again on the rock, untill she was kneeling behind him. She began to knead his upper back and shoulders with her hands in massaging motions.

SHe continued with this for several minutes, in complete silence. Finally she just had to ask.

"What do you think the human's presence will do to the Gathering?"

Tai thought for a few moments, idea after idea going through his mind, then he grinned evilly. "They have a story...about a guy who hordes money, and ends up seeing three ghosts, which change his entire outlook on life. What if we did something like that to him?"
