I know this pic got many positive responses....but no no no no no no no.

Nerve compression is a very real thing. It is hard to tell by the pic, but it looks like the upper wrap lies right at the top, in the groove, of the triceps. The worst place to have a rope that tight. See the bruising on the right arm? Again, demonstrating poor technique.

I am all for it being tight. I am all for leaving marks. But this could have resulted in permanent nerve damage if it is in fact where I think it is.

For those learning....if it hurts....it is wrong. If it leaves that kind of bruising....it is wrong. Learn where nerves lie.

Be careful where you put your knots, be mindful of how tight and where your ropes lay! Rope bottoms, if it hurts, say something. Tight is fine... good even, but if it's cutting off circulation or pressing on nerves or joints or blood vessels, that's bad.
Rope Tops, if you're just learning, find a teacher or mentor, or at the very least take a couple of workshops or courses. Virtually every major city has them. If you can't find a course, or you don't live near an area that has them, look up tutorials online. There are bazillions of them on youtube and a million patreon sites that will show you how to do beautiful ties as well as give you all the safety instruction you need... most for a donation as low as $5!
It's money well spent in my opinion.
Rope work is beautiful and feels incredible but if it's done wrong there can be consequences.

Thanks for expanding on this important topic. I often wonder about images in porn of breast bondage where the woman's breasts are turning purple. My wife enjoys a tight harness (I've seen enough Two Knotty Boys videos to do that right), but these images look painful and dangerous. Is that right?

I haven't done a lot of breast bondage, but what I do know is that tissue needs circulation and with circumferential binding, (especially on limbs) you can restrict that or even stop it (Think tourniquet)
So long as you don't RESTRICT circulation long, I think it's fine. Where the pain and colour comes from is blood backing up into the tissue and not being able to escape. When you release the binding, the circulation resumes and feeling returns and it hurts! Always release bindings like that slowly so to resume normal function gradually.

That said, like I mentioned before, besides from basic physiology and a tiny bit of experience, I know very little of this. I would suggest (as with any form of rope bondage) researching it fully before trying this at home folks!

That's why I'm sticking to harness similar to the one you're in, minus the arm bindings. She prefers over the head or behind the back. The harness is simple, ,quick to tie and untie and provides the level of restraint she wants.
 
I love the photos in here but it's always nice to see people giving good pointers and advice on the practical aspects of rope play. As someone quite new and looking to practice this in future it is always appreciated.

Its actually amazing just how much abuse the breast will take. There is not a nerve like the nerve running straight across or down through them like the arm has but anything that goes on for too long a time can cause problems.

Well, for all intents and purposes the limits are imposed by the person attached to the breasts. Sensitivity varies, as do limits on activities, no matter the pain. Its all about fun, right?
