Shibari/RopeWork Appreciation

I was idly scrolling through this thread, and this shot (and a few others) made me think of something ... we never got this involved in rope work, but I know that often when I was cuffed or tied in some way, and we'd finished doing 'the thing' (whatever the thing was at that moment), and he'd ask if I wanted him to untie/uncuff, and often I'd just want to stay like that because it made me feel calm, safe, something ... do other people feel like that?

This feeling is why I like rope so much. I really would like to explore rope a lot more.

totally agree.

It puts me elsewhere.
I would want to be expertly tied, and left to float.

or...well, whatever he wants to do...

but float nonetheless.

I particularly enjoy seeing their faces in the shots above. that is what I look at first. To see the ecstasy, and freedom that comes with rope.

This resonates.

While I have zero interest in being tied up, I do appreciate the art and beauty of the work. Some of these are simply breathtaking!

"I'm in the mood to tie her up and remove any thoughts, desires, self consciousness, or anxiety she may have. Tie her up and take everything away. Bind her and let her just be. In the moment. Waiting for me. Taking what I give her. Tasked with nothing more than to be my little helpless slut. Remove all that she is and let her blossom into the best version of herself. Mine."
