I am trying to get my wife to shave her pussy but she refuses. Are there any women out there with some comments or suggestions. I have heard that both the process of shaving and sex after are quite erotic and sensual. Also do any men out there shave their genitals. Please help!

There are tons of posts on this topic. Check out the "How-To" section of the BB.

I love shaving, just did so a few minutes ago as a matter of fact. I don't know why, but I just feel better without all that hair down there. Besides, I want to keep it like this to show my Canadian friend next month. Best to keep it smooth for the duration, instead of trying to pick off loose hairs later...LOL

I have only been with one man who shaved, and I was a little taken aback at first, but if there are any women out there who love to suck a man's balls...it's better when they are clean shaven.

I think if you maybe offer to do it for her, be gentle, follow the hints in the how to section...maybe she will see how great it can be. If she decides she doesn't like it, it doesn't take long to grow back.

I love being shaved. Nobody right now to share it with, but the feeling is so good that it's worth the trouble. I started with just shaving around the edges (leaving a strip down the middle) but eventually progressed to shaving all. I'm very glad I did.

Biney,

If your woman is protesting so much to shaving, why are you trying to "force" her to do it? I suppose it's something that's not for everyone.

love it when i am shaved too hard to contort myself to do decent job on myself...one hint be careful to clean all shaving aid(i.e. shaving cream) off before plunging in hubby and i used an organic conditioner..smelled and felt great before and during gave me a nasty infection after..if we had only washed off before having taken the shaved kitty for a test run>>sighs

While there are risks involved, a shaved pussy is the best. My wife is naturally hairless in the crotch area, and I like nothing better then to spend hours with my tongue in that delicious, sweet, smooth, soft.... Well, no need to get too graphic.

I have shaved a couple times due to operations. Very awkward and itchy, but has it's advantages. If you start just trimming, a little at a time, she may get used to it. But must help her. Needs to keep it shaved once started as it can drive you through the roof with itching. I know, there are creams to help with that. But that doesn't always help. Love it now. I am shaved on sides and trimmed down the middle. Takes upkeep though.

Yes being shaved is totally erotic in my opinion. I never wanted to before but ever since I tried it I love it and so does the hubby. I like the feeling of being smooth and clean. I think you get more aroused and turned on when you are totally shaven. Also I agree with sammyjo go and check out the how to topics more info there and some good sugggestions there.

I also love a nicely shaved pussy, as a male it is such a turn on. To me it shows that the female cares about herself to take the time to trim or shave. There is nothing like touching it playing with it ,licking it, everthing about it.

Best advise it to talk with your wife about it , maybe you could talk her into triming it down or maybe a "try something new" and you shave each other down. She may be willing to try something like that.

Good luck "Bald is beautiful"

My wife tried the shaving part and it was great when she was naked but when she was clothed, especially with tight jeans, it drove her insane with itching and tingling. She offered that I should try it instead as she grew her hair back and the results have been great. I keep my genitals and penis shaved while maintaining hair everywhere else. It works out a lot better for oral sex and also for intercourse when lovemaking lasts longer than usual due to increased slipperiness. I would imagine that the engineers out there would hypothesize that the hairs act like a wicking mechanism removing fluids so my partner's sense of being wet actually increases with being shaved. The final benefit is that clean-up is a lot easier.

The frequency of upkeep seems to be about a week before any itching becomes a problem. All in all, it has been a pretty good deal for my wife and I.

If your wife is having a problem with the itching, tell her there is a product out there called Bikini Zone it helps with the itching. And it does work it may help in your situation.

I use a depilatory. Shaving leaves a stubble after a few days. A good depilatory dissolves the hair and leaves the end rounded and below the skin. There was a BB posting about a product used by black men to take their whiskers off. It was a powder that is mixed with water, and there were quite a few remarks by woman who had used it and liked it.

Ask your druggist for a good one. You can just say you want it, as bikini season is coming. Make sure it's safe to use around your pubic area. Nurse Tina

Welllllll.. I've shaved a couple times, and it drove me nuts. When it was completely 'smooth' (except for the red bumps from ingrown hairs-- Magic Powder was nice but didn't do the job completely) the feeling of my bare skin rubbing cloth was a constant turn on, when it started growing back it itched like hell, and you guessed it, more ingrown hairs. I'm sticking to keeping it neatly trimmed.

From the male perspective.. Himself is a kickboxer, and is always shaved smooth because, as he put it, if you catch your pubic hair when you go to to a roundhouse kick, the fight's all over, y'dig? I LOVE it. It really DOES do wonders for oral sex.

I know but guys.... your opinion. Sure I love the idea of girls shaved (probably pre pubescent fantasy) but when I shaved my pubes and balls Worst stubble rash etc ever! Add to that I am now having problems with ingrown hairs now I would not recommend! Endless + RonG maybe you have some ideas What did I do wrong?

I guess shaving is fine.. while it lasts. Just be prepared for those new hair stubs prickling out after a couple days. A real turn off..

I have had no pubic hair for at least 2 years. I always keep it shaved...it feels so much better. I noticed if you use a shaving gel it usually dries out the skin. I perfer a really good moisturizing soap or a product made for shaving the pubic hairs called coochy cream. If your skin is moisturized really good you shouldn't get the red bumps unless you have sensative skin or a bad case of ingrown hair. Always make sure you change your razor after each shave.

Regarding question from Svedish Chef: Don't really know why rashes and ingrown hairs have not been a real problem for myself (sounds like a question for Cecil Adams). I can tell you what the basic routine is for myself - shave about once a week in the shower with a very clean disposable razor. While I do this, it helps for closeness and to avoid nicks and cuts if I keep a slight erection with some strokes. I don't use any shaving cream or gels. I can see better where I am working without anything in the way.

One negative about encouraging men to shave: If it becomes more common, I will lose that wicked smile I get from my doctor's nurse during my annual physical.
