I've been invited to participate by my dear (if somewhat estranged) friend, cymbidia.

One of the wonderful things I've noticed about the BDSM board is that not only do you all share the pleasure/pain of the physical, but there appears to be a sharing and genuine caring for the hopes and dreams and the losses and sadness of the other members of the board.

I spent half a day or so reeling from the loss of one of my stories--as in the dog ate my wp file--and so I came here to space out for a while.

I soon discovered that other people were hurting from lost relationships and broken trusts, or celebrating little victories in another person's life. This was special in a way I've not seen elsewhere at Lit or at other sites (save one site which was totally abandoned not long after cymbidia left it).

As for the drama aspect of such posts--I don't think people here should worry too much about what the others think. From what I've seen, most everyone here is far more supportive than let's say on the general board or the other specialized boards.

So let me say, I'm not sure what I expected--although I did sit down on a large tube of KY that someone had left on a chair, and when was the last time all these sheets were washed? But for the most part, you folks are quite fascinating. You bring out the latent (hah!) voyeur in me.

Thank you, Lyssa

Thank you, Lyssa.

Now, may I have my KY back?

:D

Yes, if you'll tell me where you people hide the laundry soap.

cym, JB, Risia-- I can't believe you have a coin operated washer and dryer! This is taking control too damn far.

Lyssa, I don't think anyone can attest better than I can to the wonderful way this little community cares. These people were there for me when I was lying in a hospital bed broken, and they were beside me cheering hen my darling asked for my hand.
I hope you will be more than just a voyeur here, I welcome you with open arms. Hey....wait...what are you doing with that KY?.....wait....no...oooooooo

Lyssa's a sweetie pie honey bunch kinda woman, guys, and definitely a good egg. She does, however, have a disturbing tendancy to weave the people in her life into her stories, so watch out.

However, i like the chiquita. She's an open-minded sort, for all that she's pretty definitely over on the nilla side 'o things (chocolate husband or not). I think you'll like her, too.

A very warm welcome to you Ulyssa... you are correct in everything you said... the people in this forum have wrapped their arms around me, and made me feel a warmth that i have never felt before... i came to this forum last spring, with no clue at all what life had in store for me, and these people have helped me fine tune what i was looking for, and were there to cheer me on, when i took my baby steps into actually living this out... what special people they are here... and i hope i can eventually give back some of what has been given to me... ;)

Well Lyssa, judging by your av, I think there might be a little of the latent exhibitionist lurking behind the latent voyeur, just to the left of the dog with the story in his mouth.

Looking forward to seeing more of all of you.
:)

Have fun;
Lance

Hi Lyssa
This place is filled with good people, even if they are a bunch of pervs. Glad you're here!

Welcome to our little corner of Lit!

I am certain your journey here will be one of enlightenment, confusion and sometimes just down right fun!

Many thanks to you all.

It just occured to me, cym, I don't think I ever sent you the piece in which you made a brief appearance. However, my poor computer went boom and I lost it. Let me see if eventually I can piece it together in the near future.
