Shall We Start A Thread On Venezuela And Coming Events?

Well now, reports indicate that the MV Ocean Trader has been spotted in the Caribbean, just a couple of hundred miles off Venezuela. It’s hard not to think something’s about to kick off between the U.S. and Caracas. Taken together with the unusually heavy American naval presence in the region, one might reasonably suspect that Maduro’s days in power are numbered.

The Nobel Peace Prize nominated - No New Wars "president" is going to start a new war of aggression against Venezuela???

We. Told. Them. So.

Maduro has cried to the Pope for intervention..............not going to work.

Keep an eye on Margarita Island.
There is a regimental-sized landing force embarked on amphibious vessels within that naval force. I think that ports and airfields could be at risk of seizure.

Yup. Maduro has been strapped for cash so he's been taking $$$ from Iran to use Margarita as a training facility for "Freedom Fighters." Margarita is bite sized and isolated.

Senate Votes Against Democrat Effort to Block Trump Using Military on Narcoterrorists

The U.S. Senate has voted narrowly to reject legislation that would have forced the withdrawal of American forces from operations against foreign drug-smuggling narcoterrorists.

The move handed President Donald Trump a major victory in his fight to keep pressure on transnational criminal networks and drug cartels.

The measure was sponsored by Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA).
It was filed under the War Powers Act of 1973 and aimed to limit Trump’s authority to target cartel-linked vessels operating in international waters. The resolution failed in a 48-51 vote.

Seventy-one percent of Americans—including a majority of Democrats—say they support the U.S. military destroying boats that smuggle drugs from South America, according to a new poll.

Support for destroying drug-smuggling boats appears strong across party lines, with 89 percent of Republicans, 67 percent of Independents, and 56 percent of Democrats expressing approval, according to the Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released Tuesday
The finding comes as the Trump administration has carried out lethal strikes on drug-smuggling vessels in international waters off the coast of Venezuela in recent weeks. Officials said the U.S. military has destroyed at least four boats operated by South American cartels, killing more than 20 drug traffickers since early September, according to the Washington Post.

"A boat loaded with enough drugs to kill 25 TO 50 THOUSAND PEOPLE was stopped, early this morning off the Coast of Venezuela, from entering American Territory," President Donald Trump announced Friday in a Truth Social post. On Sept. 2, the U.S. military struck a boat, killing 11 people who Trump said were members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. Strikes on Sept. 15 and Sept. 19 killed more drug traffickers, officials said.

The Trump administration in a Thursday memo told Congress that the United States is now "in a non-international armed conflict" with drug cartels, which the State Department earlier this year designated as "foreign terrorist organizations."
