As I'm setting up, I asked him for only TWO boxes .... he promptly decides on handing me six and having me go thru all of them at once - plus listen to him describe what was IN another box that I didn't ask for.... AND to hang up some of the clothes.

for your expressions of support. I know you mean them - and would carry them out if you had a chance to. Perhaps I bring his "walking all over me" on myself because of the inner fear I have of his temper and an impending possible explosion into a blind rage. He's only ever done that once - a great many years ago - but the fear of a second time still lives in me.
I can never seem to find the backbone to stand up to him - and when I do, I speak out of frustration and anger, saying things I really don't mean - they are deliberately barbed - and they still mean nothing to him. I don't think I do either; not anymore.
Sad commentary for a parent to say - or feel. And no - I'm not trying to give myself a "pity me party" - far from it. Just stating the rather painfully obvious facts - as I see them. Lopsided? Perhaps...
I'm just tired and worn down. I don't want to fight with him. I just want his love and his respect. Sad to say I lost it... I just don't know when or how. I just need a drastic change. I need to leave and just disappear - where he can't find me.

To me, it is neither Winter, nor Christmas, without snow. I do miss it.
