I'm not sure what 'Sexually Experienced' means:

Knowing nothing else about these two women, who would you say was more sexually experienced:

Alice, who has had only one sexual partner, for ten years, and experimented sexually with him;

Beth, who is much younger than Alice, but has had twenty sexual partners since she lost her virginity a year ago, mostly one nighters.

I would argue that in some respects they're both inexperienced. There's something to be said for number, because you find a number of different styles, however one night is often not enough to really try things out or develop trust. I would argue that girl #3, we'll call her Jill is more experienced than either. Jill has had 6 lovers, 2 long term partners, and 4 flings/one nighters/brief affairs

My vote goes to Alice.

Alice has had time to exercise her main sexual organ, the brain. She's had time to figure out what she likes and what she doesn't. While she hasn't had numerous partners, experimenting with one would yield much the same result, because she's learned how to figure out what he likes. Her new partner would likely enjoy the same, and if not, she has a baseline from which to start, and the experience to have fun while figuring him out.

I vote for Alice

Generally speaking, long-term couples are at ease with each other, have sex more often than singles, and are more given to trying new things.

That's my two cents. Or, since this is an Englishman's thread, should I say "That's my tuppence?"

You have all heard the old story of the penny jar, haven't you?

For the first two years, a recently married couple puts a penny in a big mason jar, whenever they make love. After the first two years, they change, the procedure. Instead of putting in a penny, they take one out.

On their Golden Anniversary, they use up their last penny.

I mention this, because it is an old story. The trouble is, that - while my research is still a bit premature - the story it is not worth a groat.

Do you have any idea what it's like to experiment sexually with or without your partner?

Beth's many partners is not an indication of wide 'experience'.

Experience suggests knowledge of a particular skill. Beth could have experienced only one version of sexual intercourse. True, she may be more experienced in that one act than Alice. However, couple that with the fact that Beth may not have even willingly participated in sex with any of her partners...

As a Jack of All Trades, Alice gets my vote.
