I had an idea for a short story once where we discovered we were in a simulation and learned who to communicate with the programmers. And we asked them to fix our problems and their reply was “if we knew that, we wouldn’t be running the simulation.”

Then I got sad.

And I’ll be pedantic because I’m sure you know but still good to say out loud, young women need to be taught that giving enthusiastic consent is okay too.

Absolutely.
I could have said it’s what we taught in our household but he had a friend accused of rape and was really struggling with how to parse things out and what consent meant in multiple situations. So this additional discussion sticks in my head.

In our house consent was taught from the very beginning. Consistently and with every opportunity.

Cats don’t get it. Dogs neither. The only male
dog we’ve ever owned was very nearly renamed to “Consent! Fucker!” Because he was so bad at asking before he’d start humping.

Dog humping is usually a boredom thing or an act of dominance. Give your dog some brain games, take them for a walk or work on training.
Also make sure they know who is boss. We used a spray bottle with water(some use a little vinegar too) and gave a command and a squirt in the face. Followed by praise.
“No hump!” Squirt. “Good girl.”

It takes consistency but it will work, at least it did for us.

That particular dog is no longer with it. But he cured me of any desire for either particularly large dogs or male dogs. For a lot of reasons. I’ll stick to my female pittie mixes from now on

You are completely worthy. Love and respect yourself. If you don’t others won’t or worse you won’t believe them.

Learn your body. What is normal what is not. Know your bumps, lumps, and spots. Know your normal and trust it.
Find out what gives you pleasure and what makes you orgasm.

Apply for jobs you don’t know you can do. You do not have to be 100% qualified or positive you have the skills. Always negotiate your salary but do it wisely. Research the market and the area and ask for what is being paid.

Don’t be afraid of failing. Just remember to get back up and try again.

Growth and learning is uncomfortable and often hurts.

Love with your full heart. It will mean you get hurt but loving halfway is not worth it. Bouncing back is painful and can take time but you will recover.

Cultivate your friendships like you would a garden. Not everyone will need the same thing from you or give you the same things and sometimes you need to take out a plant that has gone to seed. This will leave room for something new to bloom.
