Series function does allow adding second chapter

I recently published the second chapter in my series and when I go to "+ add work" it doesn't show that chapter in the list to add. It only shows the first chapter that was already published. Any ideas?

Edit: obviously, the topic title should have said "doesn't"...

I have this issue, but it started when the site auto-added the chapter to the wrong series.

Now the chapter's not assigned to any series, but it also can't be added to any series. I haven't found a way to fix it.

I think you can't do this until the new chapter is published - like the first one is.
