How much does shaving really increase sensitivity during sex, for men and women? Me and my gf really wanna try it and we are curious if it is as good as we have read on here.

When you first start or don't do it everyday, it's a big increase in sensitivity in general (i.e. not just during sex) for most people. I don't know how to quantify the amount of sensitivity, but my husband finds his balls are a lot more sensitive and my labia are sensitive enough to make me wet most of the time. In time (weeks-months) with daily or almost daily shaving, some of the sensitivity decreases as your body gets used to it, but it's still a lot more than having hair. The activity we notice it most is during oral.

I started shaving my balls and perineum bald a few years ago at the encouragement of an old GF. I had already been shaving the few stray hairs from the shaft as a regular grooming habit. My GF also shaved her pussy bald (my preference) so I was more than willing to try it. I loved it so much I have kept it up! It feels best to me immediately after a close shave in the shower (the steam helps soften up your hair). The feeling of the ambient air, and someone elses touch on new bare skin down there is an incredible experience. There's nothing like getting licked and sucked when you're shaved. There's no hair to get in the way of the direct tongue-to-skin contact.

I keep a patch of short hair on top, but trim it down with a beard trimmer fairly short.

I also love the look of being shaved during intercourse. I just personally love the sight of a bald pussy taking my smooth and hairless cock in. Again it's just personal preference; your mileage may vary. And most woman I have been with say that they like the feeling of my bare balls slapping on their ass during heavy thrusting. Also, when entering from behind, I have been told that having my bare balls smacking against a woman's clit is a turn on.

I say give being bare a try - it's always grow back if you don't like it.

This is the case for me as well. Otherwise I haven't really noticed anything. Maybe I'm just used to it?

If you were closer, I'd volunteer my services to shave you :p. If I nicked something tender, just have to kiss it better ;)

I shave, and I think sex feels better. I definitely feel more sensitive.

As someone mentioned before, don't start shaving every day when you first start. If it's the first time for either of you, I wouldn't recommend sex right after shaving either. Your skin might be irritated, and sex won't be comfortable.

Personally I prefer being shaved and I prefer my partners to be at least partially shaved. In addition to the sensitivity issue there are other considerations.

1. Dealing with the hair, especially during oral sex.

2. Hygiene - Regardless of how clean you are, hair has a tendency to absorb odors from those times when you are less then "fresh" as they say on TV. Keeping yourself shaved certainly helps this.

Admittedly, there are some major problems that go along with being shaved and there are no tried and true answers for how to resolve them. Everyone woman's body is unique. My suggestion is to try some of the techniques that have already been mentioned and do some experimenting to find what works best for you.

I love it when my SO takes a freshly shaved labia into his mouth and nibbles and bites a bit. Feels delicious.

Well said.
