Let's Scare Jessica to Death

I remember watching it on tv one night as a kid, and it scared me senseless. I wonder if it would have the same affect now?

It's that time of year when scary movies start getting more airplay, but I have never seen this one played again. I'm tired of slasher flicks.

What are some other older scary movies to look forward to seeing again?

I always liked this one- corny and cheesy, but scary to me when I was younger:

I saw this one at a local theater that played midnight movies. I was about 15, and we walked home after the movie thru a dark field. I was freaked completely out.

I hated this one when I was little b/c it scared the crap out of me!!!

brrrrr the moor scene at the start ... i saw it when i was about 6 yrs old and i had nightmares for about 5 years because of it :)

i've blamed my parents ever since

Ultimate scary movie is....

Without a doubt "The Exocist"

That one scared the living crap out of me when I saw it as a kid....not to my parent knowledge mind you.

And it still scares the living crap out of me.

here is more

invasion of the bee girls
prom night
night of the demons1,2
sorority babes in the slimeball bowl-o-rama
1984
high school reunion

Not a horror movie as such but Jaws scared the crap outta me and I'll never swim in the sea......EVER !!.

Oh what about the bit where the guys severed head falls out of the hole in the bottm of the boat ?

Let's see...

Salem's Lot scared me so bad when I was a kid that I still can't watch it.

Children of the Corn is the reason I won't walk across the road to check the mail at night.

When A Stranger Calls is the first scary movie I remember seeing. I was in Kindergarten and it was on cable. Anyone seen the sequel?

Others...

My Bloody Valentine
The Dorm That Dripped Blood

A movie that seems obvious

I'm suprised no one mentioned "Holloween."

I like those too, April. "The Exorcist" is the ULTIMATE!!!!!!!!! I remember, I 1st saw that when I was around 15. It was on at 8 PM. I watched it in my room, with the shades down, lights off. Talk about STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!! The new "spider walk" scene is FREAKY!!!!!!!!

I thought we were trying to stay away from 'slasher movies'... or I would've listed more.

I LOVE all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, the original Halloween and the recent one... also the original Friday the 13th... I'm a total horror junky, and the cheesier the better.

i almost forgot

friday the 13th

This is a slasher film that had me gripping the armrests. I can't even remember why.
Dean Koontz novel. Have you read it? I didn't really care for it.
