I will not get in a car with my friend driving. She is one of those people who coasts into intersections and is indecisive. Scares me. She gets in more minor accidents then anyone I know.

The last time I rode with her we were on the freeway to the coast. I asked her if she might want to shift into 5th. She ground the gears and said she hadn't had the car in 5th for years. We got to the twisty road, she down shifted to get the curves and then drove in second on the straight. Said she would just need to shift down anyway, so why speed up on the straight. A car came up behind us fast and I thought I was going to pee my pants. I drove her car home.

She just bought a new car. I asked if she got automatic or stick. She said, "Oh, I got stick. You have more control."

I am still shaking my head over it.

What kind of driving scares you?

Hey

I drive stick, but she's not driving that car properly. Second on the straight road. She's trying to be careful because of her bumps in the past, but she has to get with the traffic.

Indecisive drivers scare me a little. It's bad enough that they can't make up their mind, but the time they take stalling can cause others serious harm. Your pal's insurance must be through the roof.

The other type are reckless drivers who think that they own the road; only worrying about where they're going and how fast can they get there. I was driving one time (yes, the stick) and I saw the person in front of me signaling to turn right and the truck in the back of me overtook me and the other guy on the right hand side and nearly slammed into him.

Which brings me to the worst, reckless drivers in big cars. I hope that no one should have to be harmed because even though they were careful, they were driving a tiny vehicle.

That's is why I just laugh that she bought a stick. She wants more control, but you only have it if you know how to use it.

Not using turn signals when changing lanes.
The person in front of you riding their brakes so you don't know what is going on up ahead...

I am not a driver who gets angry, but what are they thinking?

And how about those folks with the out of service break lights? I got behind one yesterday, nearly slammed into his ass four times. I am a careful driver, but damn fella' let a girl know what's going on!

The scariest thing I've encountered yet is the people who think they can make it through the damn yellow lights. I nearly had my car totaled when one ass came plowing through when the other lanes of traffic were completely stopped and I was trying to make a quick right. My car actually shook with the force of it barely missing the side of me.

Another hang up I have is the people who try to fit in between the guard rail/brick wall and the Semi when going over a two-lane bridge. If they only knew how little wind it took to upset that semi I think they'd think twice. Just put on your breaks, and wait about twenty feet, is that so hard? My friends car did get totaled this way. Semi hit her rear corner, and she just kept bouncing back and forth between the two. Still going sixty, slowly turning, every frickin' side of her car was impacted. Luckily she's ok.

Why don't people realize they're driving deadly weapons? You have to know what you're doing, and you have to be in control at all times.

The most frightening are those who won't put their glasses on to drive. "Can't be seen in Glasses"! They get far too close to the car in front and brake far too late at lights. AARRGGHH!
