This is the Halloween season, so I started thinking about scary movies.

What is the scariest movie you have ever seen?

Mine is a toss-up between The Exorcist and The Shining.

The Psycho movies - I & II. Scared the living shit out of me. Still can't take a shower without wondering if someone is on the other side with a big huge butcher knife.

Oh, Carrie scared me shitless as well! Dang - I was so paranoid at the prom!

I don't scare easily so I will have to say my favorite horror flick is Christine.

So eerie, so surreal

Exorcist, without question.

Other favorites include

The Shining
The Silence Of The Lambs
Holloween

Jeepers Creepers-won't catch me on a deserted road anytime soon!

Plan 9 From Outer Space. Scared me so bad, I NEVER wanna see it, again.:D

I've never been a fan of horror flicks, but if I had to choose one, I'd say The Exorcist. I haven't seen it since I was 16.

My son who is 12 and who is also the worlds most magnanimous fan of horror movies. He loves and owns them all. He reported Jeepers Creepers was not all that great, but the Pet Cemetery about made him pee his pants. This is coming from a kid who at the age of three or four, had the Crypt Keeper as his imaginary friend. Twisted, I tell ya.

I'd have to put in a vote for The Wicker Man. It's one of those movies that sneaks up on you with its mystery and then completely horrifies you at the end.

The Shining

Jack Nicholson was so damned frightening in The Shining. Even when I see his movies now, I picture him breaking through the bathroom door.

Gives me chills.

I'd alos have to say Seven. Tops my list for creepiest ending, EVER!

500th post!!!

Oh and Scary Movie is scary.

That mask just scare the holy hell out of me! And that mental guy - OMFG!

And then they come out with Scary Movie II - Holy Schnikies!

"Here's, Joooohhhnnny." My favorite part to that movie is simply when he's looking out the window, watching his wife & son have a snowball fight. You know he's going insane. His facial expression makes that entire shot scary.

Okay, it's actually a pretty stupid movie, but as far as sheer make-you-scream-and-leap-out-of-your-seat factor, I have to say "Thirteen Ghosts." Whoever did they makeup and costume design on that movie gets an A in my book. The mental patient with the cage on his head, or the huge guy with all the nails in him . . . dah! Scary.

American Werewolf In London ... my sister made me watch this when I was 6 years old and it's traumatized me ever since.

Try watching "THe Exorcist" when you're only 13, in complete darkness. Luckily, I wasn't tramatized, but, I had nightmare that night.

Trilogy of Terror. That little Zuni warrior doll scared the shit out of me for years. I was terrified to walk down the hall in the dark, and having the light on wasn't much better. That was over 20 years ago, and it still scares me.

That thing was evil, man!!

My mom let me watch The Exorcist when I was around 12 or 13. She told me "This is what happens to little girls who are bad." lol

It didn't scare me too much because by that time, I was a big fan of horror movies.
