I think he’s the King of the Twats, but he’s accomplished an awful lot across a huge range of endeavors.

One of only 45 people to be President, for example. That’s no small feat, especially for an arsehole of his stature.

He's made a career out of being an opportunistic narcissist, something a lot of Americans aspire to be (it is a capitalist society after all) so they live vicariously through him. It's the only thing that makes sense to me as to why Trumpers see him as infallible. If Trump's wrong then they would have to admit they were wrong this whole time. So, ya, I agree, he is famous and people maintain his media presence because not doing so makes him and ergo themselves irrelevant.
