Now, I know Finland isn't a part of Scandinavia... But hey, I'm here. Newly finlandizated, trying hard to become a cool Fenno-Scandinavian. ;)

So when's the first official Stockholm-Helsinki booze cruise? :)
 
I've got two red stripes in my beard, so I figure I may have some DNA from up their... one way or another.

From the little I know it seems probable that the region where my ancestors came from was viking friendly... but then you never know, don't trust pirates. I think its safe to say though the the scandinavian influence is small, if its their at all.

Of course I meant to include Finland! We're practically neighbours. :) Everytime I take the train to the city I pass the Finland cruise ships.

So I say bring it on - I can sing karaoke with the worst :D

Wow, now I picture you with a bushy beard with two bright red stripes in it :D

Well they did get around the vikings, ravaging and pillowing. Maybe you have more ancestral traits from them than you think...;)

Best things: My boyfriend, Melodiefestivalen, and Malmöfestivalen :D
Worst thing: I'm from the desert and the novelty of that wet stuff that falls from the sky is wearing off.

Well, good thing he was worth the move :)

I visited Malmöfestivalen once, loved it too. Malmö is a nice city, I have friends there and I really like how close everything is. And sort of relaxed.

And for the wet stuff... definitely too much of that lately.

Not bushy, trimmed pretty short actually. Waiting for some patches to fill in. :rolleyes: The read only really comes up in certain light, its kind of a tint.

Plus I'm german, I think thats as much ancestral traits as I'll ever need in the perversity category. :rolleyes:

Seriously, you should here some of this folk lore form where I grew up. :devil:

Aha, German... kinky...

I took a class at the university last semester about sexuality in Swedish folklore. It was really fun; erotic stories, ballads, pictures... One can only imagine (and feel a little sad) how the most outrageous and kinky stuff was never collected and preserved.

Gave me some new and interesting perspectives on gender roles, sexual culture and society. :)
