Sophia had been rolled and tossed and tumbled more then she had ever been in her life, and when the blinding rays of light hit her she was ready to scream, if she could have. She had been trying desperately to communicate with the other occupants of the van, but hadn't been able to. It was difficult to tell someone of the shadowy figure in the corner, that was securely buckled in. However, now with the light from the doors being flung open, the figure was no longer shadowy but was about to pump a mess full of lead into whoever had just hastily flung open the doors.
She could see the man relax, and assumed he recognized whoever had opened the doors, then she knew there was more trouble when that same face curled in rage. Something or someone had screwed up the Russians plans for the girls, and now there was one more body in the mix of espionage and secrets. Her pinkie and thumb now had a bit of feeling in them, and she even had managed to blink a few times, and curl her toes.
“Fuck,” she thought to herself, as she listened to the man tell them he was there for Gabi and herself. His voice seemed to be stepping away from the van, and he hadn't had a real good look inside. He had known about Author and Greg, but not about the hidden Russian in the back. “Shit, he's gonna get himself killed, before I can figure out who the fuck he is!“ Sophia was getting more and more angry, and she glared at the figure, as he slowly moved to the front of the van. One of the doors had swung shut and the man was now crouching toward it.
“Well, thanks for trying... I think,” Sophia said to herself, anticipating the sounds of bullets riddling their “saviour”. Thoughts of Reese assailed her, and she pictured their bodies in the heat of love making. Thoughts of the quick fuck on the plane were nothing to her, she only wanted to be back in Reese's arms. It was funny, after all this time of being in and out of relationships, it was Reese she had always come back to. He owned her really, gave her things she wanted, she didn't even know she desired. “God, Reese, I'm sorry, you don't trust me...and now... I can't trust you.“ A tear trickled down her eye, as she waited for someone else to die.
