Saving the World One Bra at a Time

Gabrielle looked at Sophia with tears in her eyes.

"You'll share with me?" She says in a little child's voice. "Thanks. Hey you silly! An end piece is a corner piece in my book!" She clapped her hands together like a child and waited for Sophia to cut the cake. It was as if nothing and no one else existed in the room but Gabi, Sophia and that cake now. The men and their guns were gone, backs were turned on them as if they were mere threats never to be realized.

As Sophia began to cut into the cake there was music like a tiny music box playing fleur de lis to the girls ears. It sounded like a jewelry box, the kind that has a little ballerina in it spinning around and around to them.

To the men however it sounding like a low frequency hum.

A thick metal stalk extended from the middle of the cake straight up. A small rounded oblong came out of it and projected an image of their Momma.

"Girls. You have done well and found each other again! Now when all of this is done you will both be healthy, so healthy your blood will be able to help in the virus to come. Remember I love you and be good to each other."

While that was going on the music continued for the girls and the hum for the guys. The girls were quickly mesmerized by their programing and the music they heard. The stalk opened up suddenly with a "snik" sound. The thing now looked like a huge metal artichoke like flower with a couple of attachments in the center. The attachments would fit both the emerald and the disk.

Without looking at each other, Gabi put her hand out to Sophia. Sophia didn't think as she reached into her back pocket pulled the small disk, and the emerald from the small black pouch, she always kept with her. She had not realized that years ago, as a small child she had been ordered to keep the two items with her, but not to remember until the time was right. Sophia handed Gabi the disk and held out the emerald in her other hand. They both reached toward the flower. Gabrielle put the disk in. Sophia put the emerald. Both were pierced by sharp points of the flower and bled into the flower.

There was a projection on the wall of many facts and figures. A light projected through the emerald, as their blood fell on the gem. A huge boom sounded and a bright flash.

Everyone was knocked down and passed out. Within ten minutes people began to wake up.
Gabrielle was still out, the wig had been knocked off her head which was no longer bald. Her long golden hair was back. The shadows under her eyes were gone. There were no bruises on her neck.

In fact as folks began to recover they found they were all in full health too. The gun shot wounds, cuts, bruises teeth marks and other physical trauma they may have had, were now gone if they happened to look.

Reese licked a bit of the icing off his finger. Sweet, but not overtly so. Despite the fact that it was going to be destroyed, the person who made this did put a little time in it. Reese could admire that, and took another finger full just for an after taste.

"Well, I'm glad that was all settled," He sighed, looking down at the three bodies, they would wake up soon enough. Rumors and scematics had run across his desk enough times to know what had happened.

Except, to his knowledge, it solved nothing. They were still here, together, uncomfortable, scared, and all with itchy trigger fingers. Agents with itchy trigger fingers is not a good thing, not at all. He didn't like putting all this aside to trust them. He had to trust Sophia, who had now decided to become a rogue agent just to save the ones she loves.

And if she ever stops loving him? Could he easily be the next to go? If she ever feels that he's part of the problem, would she even hesitate?

And, Gabrielle? Gabrielle thought he chose Sophia over her. He didn't even know where to start explaining to her the complexities of that. God, he didn't choose anything he just... Weak. A weak long lost love that had been rekindled and he was powerless to stop it. If she ever made him choose? If she ever asked him what he really felt, if he ever loved her at all?

And fucking TOM!! That jackass from hell that refused to die. A cockroach in the shadows that would samper as soon as he turned the light on, but run back whenever he left. What if Tom held a gun to each girl's head, and then made him pick one or the other?

Reese's knees buckled just at the thought of it. He decided to fix drinks, instead. Nice and cold, alcoholic... yes, lots of alcohol. With what was about to come, they would need lots of alcohol.

He kneeled down, putting the cold beer to Sophia's face, "Wake up sweetheart. The real party's about to begin."

Sophia heard Reese's voice trying to reach out to her. Her mind felt as if it were trying to crawl through a fog. A thick mist surrounded her, and she had to push it away. Her hand went to her temple, a dull ache existing there. Squeezing her eyes, closed then open, she focused on the demolished cake.

The icing was spread out, a device was perched on top of it, and the emerald that she had found in Gabi's safe, along with the disk, were both perched within the flower. She struggled to get up, Reese assisting her. "What happened?"

Sophia looked around, her eyes immediately rested on Gabi, she fell back to the floor. Patting her sisters cheeks softly, she tried to rouse her. As she heard a few moans come from her sister, she noticed the wound for her surgery was no longer there. It was as if, it never had been there. "What the fuck?" she looked to Reese, "there is no sign of the surgery!"

She looked back at Gabi, her eyes full of wonder and questions. "Fuck... did we cross over into the twilight zone," she pressed her fingers to her sister's neck, "her pulse is fine." Sophia shook her head, "I need some answers, come on Gabi wake up!"

Gabrielle started coming around slowly. Moaning a bit, she opened her eyes grogily. Looking up at Sophia she smiled weakly.

"Hey." She said softly. "Where are we?" Gabi turned her head to look around wincing as her head rebelled against the movement.

"Reese?" She said blinking. "What's going on?" She closed her eyes for a few minutes then tried pushing up from the floor. Her head swam and vision narrowed. She stopped for a minute waiting, hoping, for it to pass.

"Okay." She murmured moving again. She felt wrung out but surprisingly well. Her hand went to her chest and scooped up some icing.

"Yum. So, what are we doing here?" She was able to look around now, walk to the sofa, sit down and look at Tom. "And this is?" She said indicating Tom. She looked at the counter with the ruined cake on it.

"That is a sin right there, y'all. Who would do such a thing?" She said her eyes going wide. She focused on the cake and narrowed her eyes.

Consciousness drifted to him in slow and steady drifts, like huge white clouds on an early fall afternoon where the heat of summer could still be felt, muted but there nontheless. He swam from one cloud to the other, floating through incredible blue to stop only on those ships of white as they lazily sailed through the air.

When Tom's eyes opened though, all of that fell away, as he leapt to his feet, gun out. In a moment his eyes darted around the room, drinking everything in. What a fucking piece of shit, he had all the weird distjointed memories of being super drunk, without the nasty hangover at the end.

In fact, he felt pretty fucking good, considering. Even his cock didn't scream as it brushed inside his pants. He gave it a little rub, and it responded in kind. Excellent, he was back baby.

"Ok," He looked at the two sisters, and then the cake, "Either that was the weakest fucking bomb in history, or you two have some pretty big explaining to do. What the fuck just happened?"

Sophia looked at Gabi, "Shit!" realizing that Gabi hadn't a clue as to what was going on she left Reese's side.

"I'm going to try and catch you up real fast, because, I don't know how else to explain what is going on until I do. Besides, your gonna have to help fill in the blanks, big sis." She smirked, "and yes one minute still makes you my big sister."

She looked at Tom, "put the gun done." She rolled her eyes and settled down next to Gabi. "Reese attacked us, but it wasn't an attack like we thought. He was contacting us. We had just found out we worked for opposite factions and Reese was undercover with your faction, staying close to you, after he had bungled his assignment with me years ago."

Sophia took a deep breath, thinking how does one explain the events of several days in an understanding manner without losing all sense. "You had a headache, really bad, and while we were all in the car; you were driving by the way, we wrecked. Reese called a medi-vac, and we found out you had a brain tumor, and needed a marrow transplant. While they did some surgery, Reese and I set out to find out why you were poisioned. It seems that someone had poisioned you, and that sped up the growth of the cancer."

She stood up and stretched her muscles, before sitting down once more, "A match was found for you, and eventually Reese and I found out that we were in fact working for the same group, just under different heads of the department. Tom was my contact, and I kept in touch with him, and told him about my working with Reese."

Her eyes glared at Tom. "We, Reese and I came here for an assignment, but Reese figured out that it was bogus, so we didn't blow up, much to the disappointment of the agency, ours or someone elses, I haven't figured out yet. Tom found you. How? I haven't a clue."

"We all eventually met up here, and this cake was here. Your cancer was eating away at your mind, you had escaped from the hospital, bought a cake and then some wierd flower power trip happened. This thing came out of the cake and," Sophia stood, "just a sec." She hurried back to the cake and grabbed the disk and the emerald. Tucking them in her fists she went back to Gabi's side.

"I found these in your secret safe, I swore I had hidden them in my own special secure place, but here they are." She opened her hand and showed Gabi the disk and the large gem. "We put them in that flower, I don't know why, but something happened and whatever was wrong with you, is all better now."

She looked at Gabi, "Do you have any idea why you had these things in your safe?"

"It's the Rambadli device," He said, wiping away some of the cake. He tried to find some sort of button or lever, but there didn't seem to be one. From what little he had learned of the things, he was not surprised.

"Most people... even working for an agency don't know what it is. This is big, this is high up Big. This is head of the agency, big. The device was.. lost for the longest time, and even as it's found, we still don't know all about it. It's powerful though, healing power aparently. Even I didn't know that much."

His eyes darted from the mythical device he had barely knew of, to the objects in Sophia's hands. He only touched them with his eyes once, darting from the destroyed cake to her fast hands, and then they were gone. No one noticed anything unless they had been paying attention.

All the shit happening at once, he doubted anyone noticed. Reese just stood there, letting his finger trail along the pieces of exploded cake as he listened intently.

Gabi stared at Tom as if trying to remember something. She turned her head to look at Sophia.

"One minute? I could have sworn it was ten. I feel high or something. Do you feel high? High and like, horny, does anyone else feel that way?" She said rubbing her arms. Turning her head, that part was getting easier to do, she looked at Sophia, Reese and then Tom before turning back to Sophia once more.

"Let me see the disk and emerald."

Looking at the disk she chuckled dryly.

"That thing is fried." She took the emerald surveying it in the light closely.

"Looks like it has a big flaw in the center of it." Just then the device toppled, falling down in disarray.

"Great. Just great. I got the disk about two years ago. I was on a mission but this disk was different. It was labeled in a special language, our language Sophie. I don't know if you remember our special twin language. How happy our parents were that even at three and a half we could write in a special code known only to the two of us until they made us teach them. Our Momma and Daddy thought that was just the coolest thing. Said it made us prodigies. During the mission I tried to decode it many times but it was a code even I couldn't break. I even told some of our tech guys that this was a challenge I had a friend make for them but they couldn't break it either. Anyway, I should have turned it in at the end of the mission, I thought I had. That's weird. I feel weird but in a good way. Is anyone else tingling?" She looks at them again.

"Okay so we all work for different divisions of the same agency. That's good. Well, sort of good, but he was with you years ago?" Tears and a sad little smile came to her face, Gabrielle looked at Reese again.

"Okay. Hard to believe Reese would bungle something. He has always seemed flawless except for, well never mind." She looked back at Sophia sadly.

"Poison, cancer and an operation, okay, that's like too much. I am a good driver I don't have wrecks. How strange. Reese bungling, me wrecking, I don't know about any of that...The doctor! He works for someone! He did things to us! When we were babies and again when we were four, maybe other times, lots of stuff, drugs, mind control, and blood lots of blood tests." She said in a disjointed fashion.

"A match was found for me?" She spreads her hands looking totally confused then hands back the disk and the emerald. I've never seen that emerald before." Gabrielle shrugged her shoulders.

"Well thank god you didn't blow up, who would benefit from that? We have to figure that out. Who was behind the mission and the bomb?"

"Uh blood, our blood, that means something. Was Momma here?" Gabi asks cocking her head a little looking at Sophia. She turned at Reese's words, focusing on him again.

"Rambaldi, I've never heard of that. What does it mean? Does anyone else feel, really, really good?"

Tom sat quietly on the couch, the gun laying dormant in his hand. A piece of hard steel that was useless without the right training, the right person to pull the trigger. It was a monolith of potential danger, but now the danger had passed.

She looked normal... healthy even. She looked like she had before, his little Sophia gone. Their whole time together wiped out, forgotten like some fucking wet dream he had woken too early from. What in the fuck was he doing here if not protecting her?

She had all the protection she could need, with her sister and her sort of lover. His assignment, all be it, temporary, was done.

He clicked on his cell phone, "It's done."

Sophia looked around her, slowly making her way towards Tom, she knew he was watching her. Then he had decided to relax and grab his phone, she listened to his two word chat. As she did she spoke to the others, “This is ridiculous. Gabi, I feel normal, and we've got things to do. I don't trust that whole place. The doctors, that agency and,” she stopped and looked at Tom, “... and I fuckin' don't trust Tom.”

She slipped the gun to his temple. He sat there the gun in his hand no longer loose, but gripped tightly. “Tom, who ya' talkin' to... huh?” He flipped the phone closed and looked up at her. She once thought she was in love with the man that sat before her, now she wondered what she ever saw in him.

“Gabi, I didn't know Reese as Reese, three years ago he was a man named Daniel and we had a relationship. I'm sorry that hurts you, but it happened.” Keeping her gun pressed against Tom's head, she moved in front of him, and sat down on the coffee table. “Now, Tom here seems to know more then us. He knew how to find you, and from that call he knows something else. I told him how to find Reese and myself, hell I still trusting him, that was until he decided to try and rape me. Now that was a wake up call. Like it rough do you Tom?”

Tom made a deep growl in his throat, "Oh, is that how we trust each other now? Everyone put your guns away, and when we get all relaxed, you then try to shoot me? That is just wonderful love, I'm so glad I taught you well."

She wanted to know way too much about his little court, and with his little Sophia no longer on his side, he had nothing else to play with. All he had was himself, and as he saw each of them look at him, he realized how little of a chip that was to play with in this town.

"Rough, sweetheart? You have no idea. One night, and you would have forgotten all about Panama. I suppose you'll never know, though. So, unless you're going to shoot me... again, I suggest you put the fucking gun down and start explaining what in the hell is going on. We are all just here, staring wide eyed and wondering what to do."

She cocked a brow and smirked. "One night, love... I wanted one night long ago, and I doubt it would have been memorable. She put her gun in her lap. "Gabi seems to know more about this then I do. I remember the twin thing, but I don't remember much else." She kept her eyes on the gun in Tom's hand.

"Reese, I don't know if that is Rambaldi's device or not, I've heard rumor of it, but I've not handled any of it myself. That's agent Bristow's job, and if that is what we have there then she'll be pissed, because I think she's spent the last four years trying to understand the damn thing."

She continued to look into Tom's eyes, and wondered what it was about him, that excited her, and why he had that pull to him. Shaking her head, she looked at Gabi, "Hon, you feeling normal yet? or still all giddy inside?" Her eyes kept the gun in Tom's lap within her side vison.

"Tom? That's your name?" Gabrielle said softly. She looked like a small bird, her head tilted like she was trying to figure something out.

"See um, I remembered some things when you mentioned the hospital, the doctor. It was like my brain wasn't working right for a while there. It was working great but it was all jumbled up. Constantly going off in all directions that somehow managed to make sense but in a fucked up dream sort of way." She took a big sigh.

"No I don't feel normal. I feel horny as hell." She looked at Tom.

"You like it rough huh?" She smirked. "Me too Sugah." She walked over to him. Gabrielle ran a finger down his chest, the across his lips.

"Have we met before, there's something about you. Did we meet another time using other names? Did we meet, on a plane or a train? I think I might remember..." Her head whipped around to Sophia.

"Momma was here. Right? I didn't imagine that. She said something about our blood and a virus? You saw her too. Didn't you Sophie?"

Reese picked up the thing from out the cake, looking it over, turning it around in his hands. A new playtoy he had not figured out yet, but his eyes were turning over the smooth curves, the stainless steel, the harrowed angles.

"If it's not, then it is some sort of machine created from the research of the device itself. Perhaps the Rambadli was some sort of father, and now that the agency has it, they will take it apart to see how it ticks, in order to create little babies like this one."

A whole new array of spy gadgets, lethal or non. Imagine a spy able to destroy a building from something the size of a pen, or cure cancer with nothing more than the touch of a button. Rambaldi was a brilliant man, and now, too many people with money and power were using that brilliance for their own gain.

It would change the game completely. Reesed turned the thing upside down, trying to see if there was something that powered it, or an On/Off button, and the whole thing just fell apart in his hands. It went crashing to the floor, pieces of metal, springs cogs and an array of computer chips scattering.

Self destruct? He looked down at it. That thing was meant to hold until a certain time, and then fall apart, making it useless even to those who could put it together again. Sighing, he bent down to pick it up.

Sophia looked at everyone. The device now lay in a pile of dust at Reese's feet. “Okay look.” She took Gabi's hand off of Tom. “You and Tom can get reacquainted later. In the meantime, Tom called someone and whoever it may or may not be, we are not sticking around here.”

“Gab, I heard a voice sounded like a woman, was it mom, fuck I don't know and I don't fucking care. I was four and right now this whole thing is so fucked up, I'm ready to blow this damn cabin sky high.”

Glancing to Reese, then back to Gabi, she said, “Reese and I were given a bunch of files and information concerning our mother. Papers that say she is alive, I don't believe she is, I think they wanted those two things.” She nodded her head, indicating the disk and the emerald. “They wanted them, and figured we'd have them. Well shit, we did! But now they don't need us do they?”

“Reese and I were supposed to go into some bio-weapon facility and stop some big time thing from going down.” She pointed out the window, where the smoke had been along time ago, “You can see what happened there!”

She grabbed a few things, and looked to her sister. “I really think we need to leave Gabi, I'd like one of my personnel friends to check you out, and make sure you okay, actually all of us should be checked out. Something weird happened, and damn it.... someone was developing something and what if that device just gave it all to us!”

Gabi pouted a bit when Sophia removed her hand from Tom.

"Sure always on the run aren't we? Our way of life is to always stay one step ahead or be dead. Sometimes I wonder if dead wouldn't be better or more peaceful at least. Okay, let's go! Normally I would say I want to drive but right now I'd rather be in the backseat with someone." Gabrielle giggled. She stood up and looked in the kitchen at the bags of toys and drugs. Grabbing them she grinned.

"Someone knows how to throw a party here. Who bought this stuff? I so wish the damn cake wasn't destroyed." She started for the door.

"You're right, we probably should all get checked out but I'm sick..."Gabrielle snickered.

"Excuse the pun...of doctors and what I want is some fun. Oh and you better trust anyone you bring in on this. If our blood is able to heal a virus like Momma said? I agree by the way she is dead so...anyway...the fewer that know the better. Otherwise we could wind up being simply blood bags for the government so the precious ones they want to save can be. Most of those they want to save we probably wouldn't. Right now though as I said, I just want a nice quiet hidey hole so I can feel just a little better. I mean I feel good. I feel really good, all over I just want more."

She winked and walked through the door.

"Which car?" She asked.

"Maybe we should stay," Tom looked back at the three of them, seriousness in his voice, " I think we should stay. You see, people are coming. My people, and they would love to meet all of you. I insist."

He back up, the gun raising, finding its mark one Sophia. That was all he cared about, the fucking bitch that had started all of this.

"They'll be here soon. We'll all just sit, and stay, and be calm until they arrive. Don't worry, the'll take good care of us. We won't have to worry about viruses or buildings blowing up. Once they have Gabrielle, they don't need you anymore, Sophia. They promised to give you to me as a present. Isn't that nice of them? My own little present... my own little Sophia."

Sophia stared at him, "A present?" She looked over to Gabi and then to Reese her hand on the door.

"What the fuck are you talking about? What do they want with Gabi?" She moved towards him, anger in her eyes. Reese's arm shot out and stopped her.

She looked at him, her face in shock and somewhat pale, "What is he talking about?"

Sophia had once trusted Tom, and now she was stunned that he was pulling a stunt like this on them. She watched her sister, trying to guage her reaction. Gabi had obviously been with Tom, even if she didn't remember. She had admitted it before the wierd device went off.

"Once they have Gabrielle they won't need Sophia?" Gabi laughed. "Seriously dude, I could show you a good time but now you are acting like a shit. No one wants me! Not when they can have Sophia. What the fuck would they want me for?" She walked back in the cabin, past Sophia and Reese toward Tom.

"So what if you shoot me? Huh? I mean if I'm dead will Sophia be not wanted anymore? I don't think so." She thought he was getting jumpy so she slowed a little walking toward him.

"You think your agency is going to give you a present, of a person? Are you outta your fucking mind? Y'all think I am, but listen up here, you aren't going to get any such thing. First of all there are three of us and only one of you! You can't shoot us all before one of us can get to you and terminate but..." She holds her hands open, as if she is harmless despite her words, while also giving Sophia and Reese more room to move. Her body is now in front of Sophia's.

"Now, now, lets just say somehow your people get here, and get what they want, which unbelievably is, moi? Then what? I think you are more likely to get a quick bullet retirement than a flesh toy to play with. THINK about it! WAKE up! We are all expendable! You have to know that." She shook her head looking sad.

"We have toys and drugs here! The makings of a truly deadly party but no...and to think, I was interested in you, feeling all hot and bothered. Damn! You truly have disappointed me Tom and now you are starting to piss me off." Her large baby blues narrowed at him, her body became coiled, tensed and ready to strike.

Reese had his head out the window, looking down the trailed road that led to town. Nothing was coming up it, yet, but the way Tom talked, there would be something soon. A van, maybe two. Cleaners, but not the same kind of cleaners that Reese and Sophia had called in earlier. No, these kind of cleaners would make sure no one got out alive. They would probably kill everyone except the sisters, and use them for whatever personal means.

His eyes drew again to the jewel, to the pocket it was in, protected, away from him at the moment. A twinge of jealousy hit through him as he realized that Sophia had lied to him. During one of their games, she had said she hid it away somewhere safe. It wasn't supposed to be here in her posession. She had lied to him... God, he felt like he was being played the entire time. This was all about her sister, wasn't it?

She had been dangling him along, hoping to rekindle a romance so she could use him as an ally. Reese stared with those cold eyes, the ice returning to his steel gray, flecks of deep blue, as he checked the window once more.

"Just kill him," Reese said, " We don't have time to wait, and we definitely don't have time to take out a whole tactical team once they arrive. Four of us, all highly trained, they will not send a couple of rookies after us."

His hand had returned to the gun, an itchy trigger finger. It was like he had said, one of them was not coming out of here alive.

"Are you kidding me? I'm a rogue agent now. I turned the moment I touched you. They want me dead, nothing more. I will compromise your mission if I am alive. I didn't mean for it to happen, I just wanted to talk, but you... with him. God, Sophia, why? Why didn't we just..."

But, he stopped in mid-sentence. He stopped in mid-thought to be honest, as he let his gun waver between them all, unsure on a single target.

"But, they offered me a job. I was safe with them, so long as I did what they told me. I am supposed to hand you over, Gabrielle. They don't care about Sophia, it's all been you. You've got something they want, whether you know it or not. They promised me everything I ever wanted. Safety, an alliance, and Sophia. I couldn't pass that up, not after I'd lost everything. I'm sorry, the balance had to change."

Sophia looked at everyone around her. Each one was special to her, each one had touched her life, including Tom. She didn't want any of them dead. "Tom, I'll go with you right now, we leave, I'll be yours, I'll do whatever you want, whenever you want. Please let Reese take Gabi away."

She could see the shock on the two faces, "Tom, we can go to the states, I have a place there, a hidden place. Money, ID's, everything we need, we'll start over."

Tears were in her eyes, "Please Tom, I'll go with you, I'll be yours, just don't let them take my sister, don't let them kill her. Let Reese go and hide her away. I will give you complete control over me and my body, whatever you want."

Sophia walked toward him, her heart in her throat, her stomach in knots, "I'll be your slave Tom, and you can be my master." She held out her arms, "Just let them go."

Gabrielle growled and walked up to Sophia.

"Oh great I get it now! I'm soooo important but everyone really wants you, again! That just takes me back to when we were young. Momma and Daddy told me I was so important but who did they spend time with, you, because you were always sick or something." Clearly showing her increasing rage Gabi's fists close.

"I'll bet if we were the only four people on the face of the earth both of them would still want you and not me! You were always getting hurt and always wanting to sacrifice yourself for me. Well not this time!" With that Gabi swung at Sophia but actually hit Tom, to knock the gun out of his hand. Her leg sweeps out to knock Tom down.

"To think I was all ready to fuck but you bitches just want to fight!" She growls.

"Gabi... Gabi please," He held her back by her shoulders, looking at her with those wild eyes, trying to calm her down.

"Let them go. It's better if we do split up. I know it's hard for you to admit, but at the moment, you are more important. We need to get out of here, just you and me. Come on..."

He glanced back at Sophia, hard to keep his stare at hers.

"We would need the jewel, and the disk. We can't let those get into the wrong hands. Hurry, they'll be here any minute."

Sophia looked at Reese, she was hurt that he'd grabbed Gabi, and didn't even try to stop Tom. He could have, he could have tried to get the gun. She had been to far from Tom to get it, but Reese had been close enough to Gabi to get her, he could have dived down to get the gun, or kicked Tom in the ribs, then all three of them could have left together.

"The jewel?" Her eyes registered their shock, "I still don't know how it got here. I swear I put it in the hiding place." She saw the doubt in Reese's eyes, and knew he wasn't sure. "I did, I swear to you."

She pulled it from her pocket, her hand trembled as she passed it to him. Their fingers touched. Tears came to her eyes, and she flew into his arms. "I love you," she whispered and hugged him. "I love you and please take care of her." She felt Tom pull her away, and she looked at Gabi.

"I don't know how or why, but you have to stay safe, and no matter what happens. I love you too, and we'll find each other again." She jerked free of Tom's grip and hugged her sister. "I never meant to hurt you." She kissed her sister and moved back to Tom, a new sense of fear shook through her.

Her eyes held on to Reese until he turned away. She was losing him again, she looked at Tom, hate filling her soul, "I'll never forgive you, never."
