When I met EY I was Amy and thought.. Does this woman see herself? Does she look in the mirror? How can someone like her have demons? Because I was stupid and forgot that insecurities aren't always just about what's on the outside. While I worry about my outside, she reminds me that most people around her, only look at her outside and never take the time to get to know her.
So.. This is why we decided to do this thread.

If you haven't seen this Amy Schumer movie. I highly recommend it. It fits well with this thread.

Yeah I so get the Inner demons bit and all the crap that goes with it.
The Daemons I know all too well and carry them with me every day like many others, I live as I call it, "Behind the Mask", I have grown to be able to hide my demons very well behind the mask of a typical Aussie larikin, always the funny joker, nut case, or silly buggar.
There are very few that know the real me, (although Sassy does), he doesn't come out to play very often, as the heart is very fragile, and has been shattered too often, to let many pass thru the wall that guard it.

Sassy has really helped so much, and I am forever in her debt.

What others see...i struggle seeing. My logical brain knows...but my demon side still sees the abandonded child...or addict sitting in the corner with blood everywhere crying because their last vein collapsed again. No one but addicts can understand what it feels like having all the dope you need and you are so fucked up you cant use it. Fortunately...today is a good day. It isnt my big demon whispering to me...but just one of his friends telling me to keep flying under the radar...that worthiness...i have not earned. Thanks pretty girl.

My logical brain knows...but my demon side still sees the abandonded child...or addict sitting in the corner with blood everywhere crying because their last vein collapsed again. No one but addicts can understand what it feels like having all the dope you need and you are so fucked up you cant use it. Fortunately...today is a good day. It isnt my big demon whispering to me...but just one of his friends telling me to keep flying under the radar...that worthiness...i have not earned. Thanks pretty girl.

I sometimes struggle with seeing the person I was versus the person I’ve become. Who I once was is a broken, shell of a woman who only knew of bittterness and hatred. Sometimes that bitterness still comes out, but I remind myself that I am not defined by my past, but rather the present. Who I am now is someone capable of giving so much love to the world. We aren’t always worthy of forgiveness, but we’re always worthy of redemption.
