Oh you say that but you would...especially the ones you don't like. :D

No, the ones I didn't like would get C's. The ones that did well would get As. Bs for everyone else!

If I was a teacher, I wouldn't fail anyone.
Teachers don't fail students. They fail themselves. To give a student a grade that they didn't earn is teaching them that the world owes them something. Why should you be rewarded for unsatisfactory work? When you take your car to the repair shop do you pay the mechanic after he tells you that your brakes still aren't working?

Its actually in the high 80's and sunny.

I'm just in a blah mood ... might as well be dark and cold

If a student fails, doesn't that mean the teacher failed to instruct him/her? Or do educators have no accountability for results at all?

I'm so glad you're not a teacher.

lol me too. My friends wife just became one, they work her like nuts, she has to buy supplies out of pocket and her pay sucks.

I find that nothing cures the blahs better than sleep.

I didn't give birth to the students. Teachers have accountability, but students have free will. It's up to them to study, do the assignments and pass tests. Just like doctors can't save all of their patients, teachers don't reach all the students. There were many students I just couldn't reach. I never gave up, but I wasn't successful either.

Fair enough :)

It sounds as if you have lumped all teachers into one group, probably because of your own experience. I'm going to get off my bandwagon before I say something I won't regret.
