Oh M, don't be silly, some of us like a little culture now and then. I'm a Puccini lover. Opera is so under appreciated. I hear any version of "Un bel di" and I'm moved to tears.

Abs, please accept my apologies at the clumsiness of my post. My words were not meant to indicate that my new friends on AH would not and do not appreciate classical music, opera, oratorio.
I was simply sending Perdita a list of pieces of music, and my own personal comments on how they make me feel. A list is not the most interesting of posts for a thread, and being a relatively 'new girl on the block', did not want to achieve the reputation of boring this early. Forgiven?
As a Puccini lover, you have revealed yourself as a true romantic. And I agree, 'Un bel di', from the right voice, will melt your tear- ducts.
(For the record, right now? Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1. The 2nd movement.......*deep sigh*......exquisite. But to follow? A recording of an AC-DC concert. LOUDDDDDD. It helps me get through the ironing without screaming.)
