It looks like sanctions aren't doing as good of a job as the west would like. Granted, I'm not sure whether you can trust the reports completely, but it sure seems like China and India are helping them absorb a lot of the pain.

Putin: Russian economy likely shrank 2.5% in 2022 but beating expectations

"Some experts in our country, not to mention foreign ones, predicted a decline [in gross domestic product] of 10% and 15% or even 20%. For the year as a whole, it is expected to fall by 2.5%."

Experts say Russia's economy is not out of the woods yet, with sanctions escalating and restrictions on Western technology exports set to take a long-term toll.
