What have you done to your house that is going to make you think "Hmmm...maybe that was not the smartest thing I ever did"...when it comes time to sell it?


Here are just a few of mine...some I even forgot I did.....


1) Painted my son's room "Batman BLUE & Robin RED .

2) Painted my dining room "Hollycock Red".

3) Removed the old ugly vanity mirrors from the bathroom walls (over the sink).....replacing them with beautiful ones...but leaving a big 'ol hole behind them. (forgot I did that)

4) Found a REALLY cool 5'X5' solid wood mirror at a flea market...hung it in my dining room...well actually Glued *cringes* it to the wall as well as anchoring it, them procceded to Paint around it. * It was wayyyyy to heavy to try to take it down.
*and I am taking that baby with me...just not sure how yet*

5) Anchored an eye-bolt through my bedroom ceiling into the attic joist for my swing.........* that plant does so look natural hanging in the middle of the room!*

6) Covered my back driveway with dirt cause I was gonna plant grass on it....................one of these days.

7) Nevermind....I think I'll stop there....


I'm kind of an impulse sorta girl....to hell with the next owners.....................................Until it comes time to SELL it!!! what the hell was I thinking?

You're not alone. Left to his own devices, my husband would paint murals on every wall in our house. Uh-uh, nothing doing. I am not, under any cirumstances keeping the house we are in now (I hate the neighborhood, hell, I hate the state) and therefore nothing gets altered. Period.

That includes the front flower bed that he wants to render unlivable for a century or two, the bathroom that he wants to paint black, or the giant fish tank he wants to build into the wall.
