Our political, judicial, and social structure is failing to realize their similarity to the ruling class of Great Britain in the mid 1700's.
 
We don’t know who was looking for trouble. We do know who shot three people, killing two. As far as I know no one else shot anyone that night.

They live in a bubble where they only hear encouraging words and that any with heterodox views are simply assumed to be morally and ethically defective. Merely questioning their weltanschauung is grounds for expulsion.

A fair statement. And factual. And also incomplete.

Allow me to fill in a few details.

We also now know who was chasing who. We know who openly threatened to kill that boy and within minutes attacked him. We also now know that after he was knocked to the ground Rittenhouse was attacked by a guy that tried to cave his head in with a skateboard.

Look people, maybe the boy shouldn’t have been there in the first place. I got it. But he was there.

Maybe he should’ve fled in another direction instead of through what was obviously a hostile crowd. I got it. But at the time, he saw the police line and thinking he’d be safe there that’s where he went.

Maybe a lot of stuff but the bottom line is that every time, EVERY TIME he fired that weapon it was in response to somebody attacking him.

If you want accountability then be honest. If those guys would’ve used any sense at all they would’ve just left him alone.

But they didn’t. And that’s sad.
