RIP: Karl Malden

He was an extremely talented actor, but I'll always remember his AMEX card commercials. :D

RIP, Karl. :rose:

Malden, Brando and Eva Marie Saint along with Leonard Bernstein's score were all crucial and unforgettable elements of Kazan's On The Waterfront.

His demeanor, appearance and personality perfectly fit his role as Omar Bradley in Patton.

"Don't leave home without it" likely earned him more money than anything else he ever did.

So will most of us, but some of us will also rememberr "Streets of San Francisco."

It seems strange for somebody as homely as he was to succeed in entertainment as much as Malden did. :)

Homely? Yeah, I guess but in a way that recalls John Wayne's chosen epitaph. "Era feo, fuerte y formal". 'He was ugly, he was strong and he had dignity." Yeah, I really liked him as Omar Bradley, the soldiers' general.
