At the U.S. Marine Corps' Southern Command headquarters in Miami, there's a weekly training run for all personnel stationed there. The run lasts about 30 minutes in a park near the command headquarters. The run is in addition to the usual mandatory, twice-yearly physical fitness tests for all military personnel.

The training run has been cancelled. Military sources tell the Washington Times that a female officer wrote a letter of complaint to Congress and the Pentagon. The case has been referred to the office of the inspector general.

What's the complaint? The run subjected slow runners to ridicule from faster runners. The inspector general's office is also looking into the "command climate" at the headquarters.

Aww. Someone's self-esteem is hurting! Better call Mommy! Don't bother to train harder or run faster--just complain to the people in charge! They don't want to be labeled sexist, now do they?

So much for the "warrior culture" the Marines and the other branches of the armed forces are trying to instill in their troops. Now it's all about accommodating women recruits, softening requirements, and promoting "diversity"--and forcing everyone in the Corps to like it.

Man, I've been ridiculed for being slow at the end of a rifle butt. The Marines are supposed to train and prepare you for combat. Every Marine's Base MOS is 0300, Grunt. What about the ridicule of being the last one to make a strategic withdrawal, or in the face of enemy fire, will she be glad that others taunted her to get with the program. I tell you, I don't think I've seen anymore happy horseshit than this.

The U.S. Marine Corps has determined that in line with the government policy about political correctness, that the twice yearly physical fitness tests for all military personnel will no longer be mandatory.

From now on all such tests will be persondatory instead.

The best explanation I've read is that Lee fired two shots. One missed, the other was the one that hit Kennedy in the neck and Connolly in the back, arm and hand. And actually, from the miss (the first round fired), fragments of the bullet hit Kennedy in the back of the head causing no more than a minor flesh wound to the scalp.

And actually, from the miss (the first round fired), fragments of the bullet hit Kennedy in the back of the head causing no more than a minor flesh wound to the scalp.

Truth be told Mr. Bill I've always thought that if Oswald did hit him at all it would have been the one that hit him in the head and killed him. Physics-wise it makes sense that the shot that made his head go all explodey was from where Oswald apparently was.
