This is a post for both men and women, I thought it would be informative for men to point out recent trends in women's clothing or makeup, and for women to point out ridiculous trends in male fashion as well. It will be informative for both sexes, and it may stop someone from making a fashion faux pas during their next romantic evening.

For instance, I'm a female, and I think sagging pants are hideous, Don't see the point of very baggy shirts that reach the knee, not a fan of huge fluorescent shoes, and think that a watch with hands is way sexier then a digital watch.

On the plus side, underarmor is HOT, always wear those tight jeans if they look good on you, the brighter and goofier the belt the better, body peircings are great (with the exception of gages, ugh) dark bright colors always, and 5'o'clock shadows ALWAYS make me horny.

Let the reveal begin!

Women who purposely paint themselves black eyes like they've just gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. It probably stems from the goth/emo side of things, but none-the-less, it's extremely unattractive.

Sloppy clothing - on both males and females. Take a little pride in your appearance.

Uggs may be comfortable but they really look foolish. Likewise the crocs trend but I think that one is over.

Pants belted around or below the butt and puffy coats in warm/hot weather. I've never understood the reasoning behind either of these styles. Doesn't having the waist of your pants around your thighs seriously inhibit movement, and how could anyone wear a (usually black) parka on warm/hot sunny day without absolutely roasting?

I hate giant sunglasses, too. I always think women who wear them look like alien bugs.

i'm down with all the saggy pants hate. someone here mentioned that it's a look that originated with prisonwear & beltlessness. i'm hardly an expert on such things, but i think it's just laziness.

i hate that a lot of people have stopped walking and started shuffling. this annoys me. have a little self-respect.

and i'm right with NM re: "smokey eyes". seriously, it looks like i should call the cops on your behalf. just please fucking stop with that. whoever is responsible--and i'm looking at you, goth & emo folks--you need to apologize for popularizing this travesty right the hell now.

one i haven't seen mentioned: when i worked in manhattan, i used to see a lot of professional women wearing very serious attire--but beach-style flip-flops on their feet. i don't know if that's still common or not, but holy crap, that revolted me. seriously: why expose your feet to all the crap you're gonna find in manhattan on floors, the subway, the bus, etc?!

They probably carry heels in their bags to change into at work. But yes they should wear something comfortable and protective during the commute.

Heh. On days that are not exceptionally cold or pouring rain, lots of people here wear flipflops or some other kind of sandal (and sometimes shorts). So, they're all decked out on top with a heavy sweatshirt or raincoat, but then their bottom halves have decided to go with a different season entirely.

Similarly, when we were in college, we always had a good laugh at the girls who were trying to make it around a very hilly, snowy, icy campus in high heels and short skirts. :D

I always find college girls who wear Uggs, slouchy sweats and a hoodie never do well. They just look sloppy.

Saggy, baggy pants. Watch caps in warm weather. My scalp itches just looking at that. Bling.

But I like Crocs. Sure, they're ugly. But my, they're comfy.

The baggy pants is thanks to the drug donkey's of the gang world. The hide their shit in their baggy clothes. Grow the hell up all you thug wannabes and pull your pants up where they belong.

Along with the ugg boots goes wearing pajama bottoms in public like they're clothing. They're bed clothes, yes, not worthy of public consumption.

Toques in warm weather. They're made for cold weather and snow storms. Saggy pants <shudders>. Underwear hanging out (they're call undies for a reason). Pajama bottoms in public too, I'll never forget the first time I saw that...thought they were a hospital escapee.

And that little divet under the chin that men don't shave off. What do they call it, a soul patch? Just looks like they missed a spot. If you want a beard, grow a beard or a goatee, but what's the patch about?? And comb-overs. What's the point of letting a few hairs grow long and trying to hide the bald spot. It doesn't work!

Tall black socks and shorts, usually paired with adidas style flip flops....I thought this was only my gramp's style, but have seen it on a number of teenage boys n young men at the mall, etc.....absolutely hideous!

Oh god yes! That and socks with sandals period. What's the point of wearing sandals, if you're going to wear socks?

and to say nothing of not having any support. i'd think their feet must be killing them!

Emo"ish" skinny jeans on men. No well fitting or snug jeans, I love those!!!! But the kind that are so tight you wonder if they are doing irreparable reproductive damage....yucky.

Ooh! I got one!! I got one!!!

The guido/guidette look! Just stop it in every way!

And the "duck" face. Stop that too while we're on the subject!

I'm guilty of this one  Although it's not giant, they're pretty big.:eek:

In my defense, I look good. :D

In the winter, I believe it was said :p. Aside from that, heels are a very fair game ;) :p

Aside from the sagging jeans around their knees (it makes me want to yank their pants down :D) and Ugg boots, I don't get leggings with short tops. I can see it working with tunic length shirts, but short cropped tops? Nope.

That and this season's collection - it looks like the 50s mated with the 80s on an acid trip. Blech.

Lol!! I just came back into this thread because the Snookie bump/head tumor hair do just came to mind......a major no! Even if you're from Jersey.

A few of my beefs

Women at the gym who are way over weight and wear sports bras with a bare mid-drift exposing a half dozen layers of fat; men at the gym who wear tight, short spandex shorts; men who wear sandals and sox - especially dark sox with shorts; crocs (please go out of business - no matter how comfortable they are they look like you wrapped your feet in day old cheese); and last but not least, 95% of the clothes in fashion magazines that most people not only can't afford but would never wear in public!
