I visited NYC and the WTC on 9/8 (three days before 9/11)

I saw the WTC generators (that were under the buildings), after they cleared the buildings off them and moved them out. That was a sobering experience.

I didn't enjoy engineering though, one of many who didn't use their degree for its purpose lol

We learned a little shoeing. Just emergency stuff in case a horse threw a shoe in the mountains. Mostly, it was tying knots! So many knots, lol.

Another random fact - I don't really like horses after all. My Pretty Pony = Lies!

I keep my old prescription glasses and take the newest old pair with me while traveling just in case I lose or break my current ones. Now in the entire time I’ve had glasses since I was in 9th grade mind you I’ve never broke or lost a pair of glasses. Guess I think I’ll have a girls gone wild trip one day and throw all caution to the wind - or I mean my glasses so I need a back up pair.

I've always carried my old prescription as a back-up when I traveled - 25+ years. In March, I was in the Galapagos Islands when I broke my glasses. The trip would have been a disaster had I not had the back-up.
