I wrote some a long time ago and never visited the forums at that time. Came back to read and decided to write some again and then got dragged into the forums, so i don't know what it was like "before".

The stories can be a nightmare, the one bombers who hate all you write, the anon comments (probably from some posters in another part of this site), the people who down vote because your are rating higher than someone they like and the hate vented to some writers is pretty crap... but then i have had some of the lovely people from the PG comment and say nice things about mine, so i keep on (and also to annoy the haters).

Though rare, it's heartening to get the constructive commenter who points out what you've done well and makes some great suggestions and tweaks on how to make your writing better.
