Republicans

Trump is now officially under criminal investigation in both Georgia and New York.

House impeachment manager Joe Neguse explained the importance of convicting Donald Trump: "We humbly, humbly, ask you to convict President Trump for the crime for which he is overwhelmingly guilty. Because if you don't, if we pretend this didn't happen, or worse, if we let it go unanswered, who's to say it won't happen again?"

For Trump to go unpunished is to ensure that there will be more right-wing coup attempts and terrorist attacks in the future. If history is a guide, at some point these inevitable right-wing assaults will be successful and American democracy will be permanently broken.

In a just world Trump's second impeachment would end with a conviction and a permanent ban from any future public office. In that same world, Trump and his co-conspirators and other agents in his coup attempt would face criminal prosecution and imprisonment.

But in the world as it exists, Donald Trump will not be convicted for his obvious crimes against the American people, democracy, the rule of law, human decency and the Constitution. Only a handful of Senate Republicans will vote to convict Trump, and no possible evidence could convince the others to do so.

During the impeachment trial this week Senate Republicans repeatedly showed their disdain and disengagement from the crucial historical task of holding Donald Trump, the de facto leader of their party, accountable for his evil behavior.

On Thursday, 15 Republican senators did not even bother to attend the trial. Throughout the Senate trial Republicans have been seen drawing pictures, reading and in general acting contemptuous of the proceedings.

This is expected: Today's Republicans Party endorses right-wing terrorism and other violence as a way of winning and keeping power.

In Georgia, a criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump’s post-election conduct is expanding to include close Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham, according to a Friday report by the Washington Post.

The investigation, which was opened by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis earlier this month, will probe whether Trump — and now Graham — violated state law in the course of Trump’s attempt to overturn the election results in Georgia following the 2020 presidential election.

According to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, Graham — a Republican from South Carolina — asked Raffensperger in November whether the secretary of state had the power to throw out all mail-in ballots in certain Georgia counties, a move that could potentially have tipped the state, and its 16 electoral votes, to Trump in the November election.

Raffensperger was reportedly “stunned” by Graham’s question and rejected the idea, which would have been beyond his power as secretary of state. After multiple recounts, President Joe Biden ultimately won Georgia by 11,779 votes, becoming the first Democratic presidential nominee to do so since Bill Clinton in 1992.

I heard Mike was sleeping on the sofas at his friends' houses. He's that afraid to go to his own home.

For the rest of my life, I don't want to ever hear another Republican lecture anyone about law and order, family values or morality. The Party of Trump has lost all credibility on those matters!

This is so true.

1 cop was murdered.

2 cops committed suicide.

140 cops were injured.

1 cop has now has brain trauma.

1 cop now has a crushed cervical disc.

1 cop lost three fingers.

1 cop was stabbed with a metal stake.

1 cop lost an eye.

And when Trump's mob swarmed the U.S. Capitol Building, Trump was delighted and refused to let the National Guard intervene.

The Republicans have Forever lost the right to call themselves the Party of Law and Order!

I heard Mike was sleeping on the sofas at his friends' houses. He's that afraid to go to his own home.

And he's constantly reassuring Karen that all of his friends are men. :D

Of course, in his case, I'm not sure that would be too reassuring for her. I still think that she's his beard.

Sometimes, the ones who most loudly reassure others of their self-righteous moralistic purity are the ones with the most secrets.

In his case, homie's probably a power bottom living on the DL. Everything about them screams lavender marriage.

Imagine their texts:

KP (Karen Pence): Mike, honey, where are you. I have that honey-do list ready for two days now and you haven't even read it yet, let alone started on it.

MP (Mike Pence): Sorry, dear, but I am still afraid for my life. Give me a day or two, and I'll get on whatever it is that you need. I just have to be safe to step out in public.

MP: Hey, studmuffin, let's hook up. I'm at Trey's. We can have that triple M threesome now with me getting spit-roasted. Bring plenty of rubbers and lube. Adds dick pic.

KP: Who's studmuffin? Trey who? Spit-roasting? Rubbers? Lube? Why did you send me that text? And I've seen your dick plenty of times, dear.

MP: Oh, fuck, that wasn't meant for you. I sent it by mistake.

KP: Are you cheating on me with dudes again? I forgave you last time, but you promised it would never happen again!

MP: Oh, no, honey, that's just code for our meeting plans. Yeah, yeah, Trey Gowdy and I have planned a special prayer breakfast for tomorrow to talk and pray about saving the soul of America and the party. Yeah, that's it. And the pic is proof that I'm circumcised, that's all.

KP: Yeah, well, stop cussing. I told you about that already.

MP: Yes, Mother.

'We're in a very bad spot': Civil war looms within Republican Party after Trump impeachment trial

Speaking with host Abby Phillip on Sunday morning, former Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA) said the Republican Party is likely to descend into turmoil following the end of Donald Trump's impeachment trial as the various factions with the party battle with each other over the future of the post-Trump party.

According to Dent, the GOP is in "a really bad spot."

Jumping off from comments made by former Trump administration official Nikki Haley throwing the ex-president under the bus in a bombshell Politico interview, Dent complimented her for pointing out the elephant in the room.

With so many Rethug's under the bus, I'm surprised it's not high centered!

Texas Republicans mocked after begging Biden for help: 'Didn't Texas want to secede?'

A massive winter storm system hit Texas and Oklahoma this weekend, leading to serious traffic accidents and power outages. In response, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) begged President Joe Biden's administration for help for his state.

This prompted questions from those who wondered why Texas officials turned to the federal government and the existing president when they were attacking him in weeks previously.

The Texas secession bill was announced in January and the Texas Republican Party endorsed the secession bill.

Use some of that budget surplus to help out Texans, dip shit. Oh right, you're in the hole aren't you? :)

Everyone knows when the Republicans talk about "rugged individualism", they don't mean for themselves. They mean for Those Other People.

Former President Donald Trump lost his bid in the United States Supreme Court this week to shield his tax records from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, and biographer Tim O'Brien says that the former president is freaking out about what happens next.

Appearing on CNN, O'Brien explained how giving Manhattan DA Cy Vance access to Trump's taxes is going to put the president in severe legal jeopardy.

"They're going to get all of these records that Trump has kept tightly guarded for so long and they're going to bring those back to the Manhattan District Attorney's office, where he has financial forensic investigators he's brought in,"

A Republican who was upset over his neighbor's "Biden flag" has been arrested and charged, News Channel 8 reports.

Neighbors says that Edward Lacourse, 75, verbally assaulted them over the flag and pointed a shotgun in their direction -- which was the first time they interacted with him during the 18 years they've lived next to each other.

When police arrived on the scene and knocked on Lacourse's door, he reportedly commanded his dog to "kill."
Police later found the shotgun Lacourse allegedly used to threaten his neighbors, and there was "one round in the chamber and three rounds in the tube."

He now faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill.

Donald Trump has been served with a civil rights lawsuit that accuses him of inciting the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection.

Attorneys for Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and the NAACP formally served the lawsuit, which was filed in February, to the former president at his Mar-A-Lago club, reported The Daily Beast.

"Donald Trump has to go away," Thompson said last month. "If he doesn't, we will put him out of business."

The suit alleges that Trump incited the riot at the U.S. Capitol with his false claims about a "stolen" election, which the complaint says amounted to a conspiracy under the 1871 "Klan Act" to interfere with civil rights by stopping the certification of Joe Biden's Electoral College win.

The complaint names Trump, along with his attorney Rudy Giuliani, the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, as defendants.

FBI Director Says Domestic Extremism ‘Metastasizing’ Around The Country

FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers Tuesday that domestic extremism has been “metastasizing” around the country, saying the number of domestic terrorism investigations has grown “significantly” since he took over the agency three years ago.

Wray testified before lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, his first appearance before senators since the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in January. Wray said he believed the Jan. 6 attack was “not an isolated event” but rather part of a troubling and growing trend across the nation.

“The problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now, and it’s not going away anytime soon,” Wray told senators. “Whenever we’ve had the chance, we’ve tried to emphasize that this is a top concern.”

The director bolstered his statement with a series of troubling statistics: The number of white supremacists arrested in 2020 had nearly tripled from when he took over the FBI in 2017, and the agency currently has more than 2,000 domestic terrorism investigations underway. That figure is more than double the amount it had in 2019.

Mitch McConnell 'concerned' people won't go back to work if they get $1,400 checks

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said on Wednesday that he opposes extending unemployment and providing $1,400 COVID relief checks for Americans because people may decide not to go back to work.

During an appearance on Fox News, host Martha MacCallum posed the question to McConnell.

"Do you think the checks that are going out -- you know, there's some unemployment benefits, additional benefits that would run out in March -- do you believe that these checks prevents some people from wanting to work?" McCallum asked.

"Well, there is a concern," McConnell replied, "about making it more advantageous to stay home rather than going back to work."

Oh Fuck You Mitch!:(

Mike Pence breaks his silence on the Jan. 6 insurrection

Former vice president Mike Pence broke his silence on the Jan. 6 insurrection aimed at overturning his election loss.

"The tragic events of Jan. 6 — the most significant being the loss of life and violence at our nation's Capitol — also deprived the American people of a substantive discussion in Congress about election integrity in America," Pence wrote.

The former vice president pointed out that elections are governed at the state level, and argued that the proposed For the People Act would invite fraud by requiring universal mail-in ballots and other measures aimed at increasing access to voting.

"Congress will vote this week on HR 1, the so-called For the People Act, a massive 800-page election overhaul bill that would increase opportunities for election fraud, trample the First Amendment, further erode confidence in our elections, and forever dilute the votes of legally qualified eligible voters," Pence wrote.

Republican state legislatures have responded to Trump's election loss by imposing new restrictions on voting, and Pence said they've got the right idea.

"Polling shows that large numbers of Democrats did not trust the outcome of the 2016 election and that large numbers of Republicans still do not trust the outcome of the 2020 election," he wrote
"Leftists not only want you powerless at the ballot box, they want to silence and censor anyone who would dare to criticize their unconstitutional power grab," he added.

Oh Fuck You Mike!

Vote Fraud in the House!

Three Republicans accused of ethics violation after they attempted to alter colleague’s votes

Something strange happened in Congress last night that may tag three Republican members with an ethics violation.

The House held an overnight session so that they could avoid the U.S. Capitol amid the fears of another attack on the building from militia members and conspiracy theorists.

Punchbowl News' John Bresnahn explained that during a vote for HR 1280: The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2021, Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) cast a vote for the bill. His Republican colleagues freaked out, saying that it needed to be changed. Three of them protested, attempting to change the vote in with the Tally Clerk.

When members vote they have a card they can insert into voting stations and cast their vote. If they want to change their vote they can do so at any time, but if they want to change the vote in the last five minutes of the count, they have to go to the Tally Clerk and take a "red card," sign it, and hand it to the Clerk. At no point did Gooden use the red card option, but three other Republicans attempted to, signing Gooden's name to it.

Lock 'em Up!:)

Trump tells Fox News to fire ‘pompous fool’ Karl Rove

Former President Donald Trump issued a 700-word statement on Thursday complaining about Fox News analyst Karl Rove.

"Karl Rove has been losing for years, except for himself," Trump began.
"Karl Rove's voice on Fox is always negative for those who know how to win. He certainly hasn't helped Fox in the ratings department, has he?" Trump asked.

"Never had much of a feeling for Karl, in that I disagreed with so many of the things he says. He's a pompous fool with bad advice and always has an agenda. He ran the campaign for two Senators in Georgia, and did a rotten job with bad ads and concepts. Should have been an easy win, but he and his friend Mitch blew it with their $600 vs. $2,000 proposal. Karl would be much more at home at the disastrous Lincoln Project. I heard they have numerous openings!" he wrote.

Repub-publicunts! vs Trump-publicunts! Let them fight it out! :)
