Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr., hosts the Vin d'Honneur reception, bringing together key government officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps and other distinguished guests to commemorate the 127th Anniversary of Philippine Independence and Nationhood at the Ceremonial Hall of Malacañang Palace.

Highlight of the event is the ceremonial toast by President Marcos, Jr., and His Excellency Mohammed Rida El Fassi, Ambassador of Morrocco to the Republic of the Philippines and Vice Dean of the Diplomatic Corps. This gesture underscores the shared commitment to unity, mutual respect and global cooperation, while emphasizing the importance of diplomacy in fostering peace and sustainable development.

This year's celebration carries the theme "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan." It weaves together history, patriotism and culture into a collective tribute to the legacy of Filipino heroes, inspiring hope for a stronger and more united future.

Never been.

My brush with Filipinos was when stationed in Korea, they’d bring in these Filipino bands to entertain the troops. Their grasp of song lyrics was…bad, but they put on a good show. Entertaining even though we’d a get a laugh at the botched lyrics! The girls were always pretty and they were all fairly talented musicians.

You're a one man discussion machine there, 73seahawks.

You ought to do what the Hisarpy/Rebel5/HumpdayHoratio guy does; just create a whole army of sock-puppet accounts and have conversations with yourself using different screen names.
