Even the Triple Crown (sigh... Andy Irons...) is surfed in the winter. Though is on the North Shore, still the water temp is around 50 F. Chilly. Yes you can surf in the summer and can surf naked, but is just little surf. Not a challenge. Back on the east coast, the water is much warmer, but small waves. Ever surfed on the east coast?

The Pacific Ocean water is always cold, I have been in santa monica in August and still have trouble body surfing...but it sure does look better then east coast beaches, most of them anyway, right?
