What TV shows do you like so much that you'd buy the DVD collections of them?

So far, the only set I own is Buffy, seasons 1 - 3. Two reasons: 1) I genuinely love the show and 2) The price was right ($25 for the 1st season and $39 for seasons 2 & 3).

There are some shows that no matter how much I enjoy them the first time I would never want to own them (The Sopranos comes to mind) and there are others I'd like to own (X-Files and STNG) but the price is prohibitive.

So what about you? If you had a DVD player and the bucks, what shows would you want to watch again and again?

Coupling on BBC. Brideshead Reviited. I can't think of any American stuff I'd get DVDs of

I have the first season of the X-Files, and one other year...hmmm...funny, I can't remember what season the other is right now.

My friend bought Goodtimes, Sanford & Son, and Friends.

If I could just pick up any set I wanted?

The Simpsons, Oz, Babylon 5, and Battlestar Galactica (not that I know if these sets exist or not...)

But the ones I do plan on getting are The Simpsons, and The Dead Zone (as soon as it comes out).

The Duchess of Duke Street
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Upstairs Downstairs
Hill Street Blues
The Larry Sanders Show
The West Wing
Columbo
Monty Python's Flying Circus
All in the Family
Fawlty Towers
and more...

God I love television.

What, no Mrs. Columbo?

I think I own all of 4 DVD's.

But I'd buy anything M*A*S*H or the Johnny Carson Stuff. I can't think of anything else though.

I'm not sure I could watch Battlestar Galactica with a straight face. I think I'd need some good dope and then it would turn into one of those Mystery Science Theater things.

I've heard good things about The Dead Zone but I still have an image in my mind of Anthony Michael Hall from his Weird Science days.

Oh, OK.....I confess....I'm a "Who's Line is it" junkie and now it's American but it was a BBC ptogramme first. :)
