I have always wondered why we never hear about the killings done with a knife. Probably because they don't want the meatcutters pissed off when they demand them to turn in their knives!

Allowing private ownership of guns is a failed experiment. It just leads to more dead Americans. And the talking point that gun owners will take up arms to prevent government tyranny is being shown to be false right now.

Canadians have guns. Canadians have plenty of guns but don't have the problems americans have.

Public opinion could move enough in BSG's direction if the population becomes much more urban, in 3/4 of the states. But it probably won't. Urban cores will probably gain some population as fuel becomes more expensive and suburbs depopulate, but then the cities depopulate as smallhold farmers and farm laborers replace tractors. Repealing the 2A may be vaguely remembered as silly nonsense when 90% of the population considers a rifle a basic kitchen tool.
